Ok, I'm having an issue here, and I just want to know if I'm the only one. I can't see any of the posts on the BDSM Talk forum - none of them ... I can see the thread title, but when I go to read them, there is nothing there - nothing at all. Now, here in the Cafe, I can see the posts ... so ... what's the difference and why does the Talk board hate me?

I was innocently posting away (stop laughing, darnit!) and there was a weird screen saying that the forums were not available cause Manu was screwing with it, and now I can't see the posts yet either.

No, you're not the only one, I've just gone through the same confusion & like you have checked to see if the cafe is behaving the same way, which it's not. Hope it's fixed soon

Update!

Manu worked through the night and was able to resolve most of the issues. Pretty much all posts have returned, with the exception of ones made on the 12th. He is still working on bringing those ones back.

It was never "broken" broken, but it was sickly. Upgrades do tend to be a pain, sometimes.

It never seems to fail...the vender says everything will be fine, there will be no problems, the upgrade will only take a few minutes and all will be fine. But, they allways are quick to tell you to be sure you backup the present version before you upgrade. They aren't so sure of their upgrade, then, are they?

Then, the upgrade causes problems and thiengs look funny, and you press this button and it moves that thing and you press that button and this thing blinks out. You call their tech support and they say "Huh. That's never happened before. I'll have to call you back."

You sit by the phone, the boss is bitching about the down time he's paying for, and asks why you can't just fix it because you are the tech guy. He's the owner of the place, but he's computer stupid, so you can't even get him to understand the situation, let alone get him to sit still long enough with his attention meter running.

Then, you get the call..."restore your backup, because we are going to have to recreate your prblem and get back to you." Now, you get to go tell the boss his down time is going to be over soon, but that upgrade he paid for? Well...

That's happened to me too, but only with a few threads and in other forums. Also, when I try to post to one such thread, it says "This thread does not exist. If you followed a valid link, please contact the Administrator" or something like that.
