I have trouble feeling sorry for all the slim girls who had their feelings hurt. Yeah. Skinny bashing exists. But it doesn't get rammed down your throat every day, every hour, that you're too fat, that the body you have that you like just fine isn't GOOD enough until you lose weight.
Real women have curves. Real women don't have curves. Real women come in all shapes and sizes. But spend a year having your coworkers passive-aggressively making snide comments about your dinner and talking about how great of a show the Biggest Loser is because it inspires people to lose weight... yeah. The one random guy who likes curvy girls doesn't make up for that. If that crushes some skinny girl's confidence, she needs to find something better to judge herself by. Just like, funny, it doesn't destroy curvy girl's confidence every time we read a personal ad by a person who sounds awesome EXCEPT "petite/fit/skinny girls only".
There are plenty of threads on this site praising non-curvy women too, and they can go there for their confidence building, and we can come to the ones that are 'woo curvy girls are awesome' for ours. Different people like different things and that's the glory of this site.
Don't apologize, OP, for having a preference.
The guys who only like skinny chicks and don't hide it don't apologize for wounding OUR delicate feelings, and funny, we get on just fine and move on to other threads and don't die of wounded feelings because someone only likes skinny, non-curvy girls.
I so agree with the poster above me.
I have had weight issues not of my own making all my life... I am fat not because I CHOOSE to be but because my hormones are fucked and as yet the docs can't figure out a way to fix the damn mess with out making this worse.
So for 48 years I have had the snide whispered remarks about *Gee.. you are on a good paddock*, or *Weight watchers have a new deal and I hear it works * etc etc from all the skinny bitches at work and around you.
I have one simple answer for them
I MAY BE FAT, BUT YOU ARE STUPID AND I CAN DIET
I try not to let it get to me but seriously, some skinny minny gets her nose out of whack because ONE thread is in praise of those of larger statue?
Grow up sunshine.... this is the real world not some soap where everyone is picture perfect and never has acne.

That's really interesting because I have found over the years that the more stereotypical good looking a girl is, often she's the more insecure about her body and looks.
I think that's why I like curvy ladies, they have a kind of confidence that's very attractive.
