Real or Fake?

Sickly sweet,

Hurting,
Bringing down,
Not realising the pain.

Empty.

What conclusions?
Are there any?
Yes,
It's all bollocks.
Not real,
No matter.

Bittersweet, emotion's best flavour.
I'd write a story, not that poetry is bad, but I always want more when the mood is this strong.

I liked your poem, Lou, and your twattiness shone through. I have posted a few poems also but they are mostly just jokes in rhyme.

I liked the poem. Not because I am a poet extraordinaire but because it made your point elegantly without belaboring it into the ground. If you haven't submited it, you should.

Thanks, Neon. Nah, I think I'll just leave it at that little poem. I'm writing way too much other stuff right now. Could be one for the ideas folder, though!

I thank you. So glad my twattiness was so evident. :p

I only have one poem posted at the mo. The one at the beginning of this thread is only the second one I've ever written (since school anyway). LOL.

Take myself, for example. In "real life" I'm not exactly shy, but I am a lot more reserved and well, much better behaved! On here I am true to myself, but I am larger than life - I exaggerate myself. I don't do that in purpose, but it is very easy to slip into being silly, flirtatious and over the top when sitting in front of a screen. I am real, but this isn't the full picture of me, by a long shot.

I am much more shy in real life, too. So shy I still blush easily, like when talking with strangers. Here, however, I open up much easier; in ways my online interaction has helped me overcome some of my real-life shyness. It's all good.

:)
