Reading Lists

Does anyone understand how the new Reading Lists would be visible if marked public?

Is there an external link to something like:
https://www.literotica.com/my/#/lists/recommend-to-others

What is the purpose of making them public if there isn't a way to share?

Thanks,
-MM

I think the reading lists are features that aren't completely developed yet. It doesn't appear to me that the setting can be changed.

The "Favorite Story" list should be the same list as is shown to the public on your public profile, but you don't have the option of not showing that list. Maybe the idea is that you will some day be able to keep that list out of your pubic profile.

You can create new lists and those have the option to be public or private.

It probably won't be fully implemented until the new profile pages go live. The user ACP was one of the first things to roll out for beta testing, so the foundation of a lot of features have always been there that aren't yet present in the main site. Things have been slowly rolling out as new pages go live.

Eventually, public Reading Lists will be viewable on your profile.

However, the primary use of public Reading Lists will be on the Story Page. Curated high quality lists will be shown in a block called "In These Lists" on the Story Page.

We hope that high quality thematic lists will help readers find stories that are linked in ways that may not be obvious to "Related Stories" algorithms.

We have been testing the Story Page block, but we still need to do a few updates to the Reading Lists feature before we can launch it.

Thanks for the update, Manu.

Thanks so much Manu. Any time frame we could preview that Related Story curation functionality?
