About how many Literotica stories do you read in a week?

How do you choose the ones you read?

Easy question, Dr. M.

I look at the New Stories every morning and pick 5 or 6 from either Erotic Couplings, Sci-Fi or Humor (whatever is available) and paste them to MSWORD and save them. Then as I have time during the day I read them.

There are a few authors I always try to not miss, but mostly I pick them at random as "This looks interesting" just as I do in bookstores. Just like real books, some are good, some not but how would you know if you limit your reading to just a few authors?

every so often I check out the new stories and then do a search of authours I've come to like to see if they've posted anything I may have missed, I also look at the fedback board maybe 2-3 stories get read a week by me.

The number I get to read varies widely- sometimes as many as 15, some weeks none. Depends on what's happening at home, work, kids schedules, etc.

For choosing I have two methods:
I used to check out the new lists, or scroll down the top ranked, but I have so many marked from the authors here in the AH that I haven't gotten to yet, I seldom do that now.

Usually I'll just pick one that I bookmarked from any of the authors here, or recommendations from them.

Bounce around randomly between categories once or twice a week, reading two to five stories every time. And I scan the new stories about once a week and pick up about another two, three ones.

Oh, and I leech the sig-links of the cool pepole on the forum too.

I read very rarely, but I'm making an effort now. Every now and again, I pick out someone's stories through their sig line and raid the collection of a AH author.

5-6 on an average.

1. Story Feedback Board.
2. Recommendations from friends.
3. Go back to authors I like. Sometimes re-read if there's nothing new. :)

Well it varies considerably. Some weeks i read non at all (if i am very busy or getting regularly fucked by hubby) and other weeks i read 5 or 6 daily (like when i am hot and horny but on my period)

I think if you averaged it out i probably read a couple a day.

I usually just flick through the new stories to find something to read. Sometimes I look at the list of stories from my favourite authors and check those out and occassionally i'll go to them from the story feedback board (i don't get time to do that as much now though) I very rarely follow sig line links unless the person in question really intrigues me.

I usually read between five and ten stories in a week. Sometimes people recommend me stories, or I decide to check out the work of someone here in the boards. If I'm not looking for a particular author, then the way I chose the stories to read is:

1. 1st (or 2nd) page of the top list for the two or three categories that arouse me the most (if you want to know that, start a new thread :eek:);

2. New stories list, anything with an interesting title AND description, sometimes the early H can be a factor. In that case, the category isn't really that important.

In any case, if the first 5-6 paragraphs don't grab me and/or if they aren't well written, I simply give up and move to the next story.

I read less than 1 a week and usually stories by someone from the AH.

Sometimes I use the search facility to find an obscure keyword. If I can find a keyword that fits less than 10 stories I'll read all of them. Wastes a lot of time finding the obscure keyword.

I skim the new poems list every day, but rarely the stories unless it's an author I know and like or I read something here that I think is very well written, which suggests to me that I'll like that person's fiction.

For stories I've yet to exhaust the authors on the AH (those whose posts most appeal to me). As for my fave authors I am waiting for them to write more. Don't know, perhaps I read a few stories a week. Oddly perhaps, I read for the writing first, vs. the erotic.

I check the new poems per the New Poetry thread everyday.

Ummm....... zero? That way I don't disrespect any of my friends. I fail to read everyone's stuff on an equal basis. Also, by not harvesting, I needn't separate the wheat from the chaff.
Biblically,

I go through the 'new' list about once a month in specific category but anything intrigueing too. Plus if I really like a specific story I will go to the author's profile for more.

I typically read 5-10 stories in a week. Usually find them from the new stories area and mainly focused on my own 'kink'.

From there, i may follow a story to an author's story list...

I read about 10 a week, generally from authors that I've enjoyed their other stories or from the descriptions. Never used the keyword search, though.

Reminds me of a game (can't remember the name of it) we used to play at work -- try to find two words to type in to Google that comes up with exactly one hit. Great way to waste an entire day.

At the risk of being accused of plagiarism, this is exactly my position also.

how do i choose and how many do i read?

hmmm well generally i go to stories index, click on anal and then story spinner if i like the story i will go the authors profile to find more of the same. and i usually read about 10 or so a day. sometimes i will do the same method on loving wives or bdsm, and sometimes (well often now that i have found this forum) i click on a profile of someone who comments i have enjoyed and read their stuff.
