This isn’t a story, just a kind of issue question.
So it’s May 2016. You’re on a plane heading from Seattle to Des Moines Iowa, a wealthy relative has died and you have a meeting with a Des Moines law firm, to collect money. The money isn’t the issue here.
You get bumped up to business class, for your good looks. You’re sitting amongst a group of people traveling together. The guy you’re sitting beside looks familiar for some reason.
You introduce yourself. “My name is __________ what’s yours?
He replies “I’m Edward Cutler.”
The name sounds familiar.
The flight attendant comes by and offers a beverage, he takes a water you take some hard liquor you’re scared of flying.
An hour later you start talking again. He starts it off; he seems genuine with his questions. You tell him about your middle management job. He asks more questions about taxes. You tell him the hard time you’re having paying off student loans and all that stuff.
Then he asks you a heavy question. “How would you solve these problems if you were President?”
The plane lands you both part ways, later that night you get off the airplane you make your way to your hotel. You get there and fall right into the bed. You decide to turn on the tv for some news!
You jump to fox because there “fair and balanced!” Just kidding you put the box on CNN. Anderson Cooper is there talking about the 2016 election.
The screen cuts away to a familiar face. It’s the guy from the airplane with a new tie and suit; he’s wearing that US flag pin you didn’t really pay attention to before.
It says under the screen that he’s the Governor of Washington state. He starts a speech, there’s a huge flag and the Iowa backdrop behind him. He starts his speech with what you too talked about on the plane. He uses your name, you blush. He then introduces his comprehensive education support plan, after which he declares his intention to run for President! –The plan was your idea- You sit there shocked.
