Xander showed up for work on an early thursday morning. Everyone was just siting around the newly dug work site jokeing around reading and playing cards. "What's up guys?" Xander asked. "Can't be brake time already, work just started." Xander had been alote better at his job and life in general since he had a spell cast on him a while back that alowed him to see just how good he could be.

One of the men threw a newspapper at him. "Sit down and relax" he said pointing at an empty seat "None of the drivers showed up today."

"None?" Xander asked puzzeled

"nope. None. No one for the back-hoes, no crane operator, cement trucks. note even the damnd drivers to haul the material. And all they drive are pickups so it's not a union strike."

3:00 had come and it had started to rain Xander - after doing nothing at work for 8 hours while waiting for all the missing drivers to show up - Started his way to the Magic shop to meat up with Anya. Clouds had now covered the sky dark and black. Though you could still tell it was daytime there was no sunlight breaching the clouds.

Walking around the corner Xander seen Tim Simons, one of the missing drivers from work, leaning up against a pickup truck outside the bank as if waiting for someone. "Hey Tim!" Xander called to him "What was up with everyone missing work today?"
"Oh! Xand come on in her for a minut." Tim said pointing to the bank. "Some of the other guys are here to we can talk about it."
Walking into the bank Xander seen 12-15 bodies on the ground everyone was dead; however, there were 4 vampires emptying the vault of all it's money. Xander turned in time to see Tim Turning into his vampire battel form "Shit" he screamed jumping back landing on his back on the floor. Tim jumped through the air ready to tackel him. Seeing a broken chair at his side Xander grabed the leg and held it up. As Tim landed he impaled himself on the wooden leg and turned to dust.
Xander jumped up glanced at the other 4 and ran out of the bank. 3 of them went to chase but the 4th yelled. "No! We've no time for that. The boss can't keep this storm up forever, then the sun comes back. Hurry Grab the rest of the money."

Xander thinking he was under chase ran into a house the first he could see knowing they could not fallow. Running in the door an old man looked at him and Xander hoffed "Call the cops... Bank being robed." though he knew the cops could do nothing to vamps it was instinct.

"Why a Bank? There Vamps." he asked himself

Darla wandered down the allyways around where the slayer lived. She wanted to take revenge on all of those who had taken advantage of Angel. He was so weak carrying the weight of that nasty soul.
She knew how it felt being so vulnerable, that is until Dru helped her out with that problem.
Last time she messed with the slayer it was not a pleasent sight to see. Maybe this time Spike would be most helpful to her.
For now she must run. The dark cloud cover started to vanish and revenge would not happen if she no longer existed. Slinking into the shadows Darla went to take cover in Spikes lair

Angel woke up to smell rain; heard it beating on the roof of the cramped shed in which he'd been forced to spend the hours since dawn. His night bus to Sunnydale had been late, and short on nighttime, he'd been forced to dive into the nearest available shelter. After hastily proofing the cracks in the thin wooden walls against the coming sun he figured he might as well snooze. He was going nowhere for the time being. And what the heck? - he'd slept in worse places.

The rain he was smelling, which was beating in the roof of his shelter...it wasn't a natural rain. He knew a magically induced rainstorm when he was caught in it - he allowed a smile to play across his face, remembering times past during which he'd created the damn things.

"Ah well...might as well take advantage of it."

He was sure the source of the storm's power would be revealed soon enough if it was of any import; and he had more pressing concerns right now.

Opening the door a crack and glancing through, Angel ascertained the coast was clear and stepped out into Sunnydale; taking the first good look he'd had of the town since his arrival. Marvelling at just how little had changed; he saw Xander hareing across the street from the direction of the town-centre - banging on the door of the first house he reached.

"The will be a time for confrontations, and it's not now - not while the sun can reappear in a matter of seconds," a voice in his head told him.

With a sigh he silently crossed over to the rain-slick metal disc he had noted a yard away from his hiding place and, lifting it, slipped down into the sewers...

Darla

The sun started to slowly emerge from behind the clouds before Darla could make it to Spikes Lair so she ducked into a nearby sewer tunnel to traval more safely.
She like the gloom that roamed throught the air. It reminded her of the hiding spots of the one who sired her so long ago.
Walking along in her daydreams she ran into a tall figure. She put up her gaurd. One never knows who will be down here.
Out of the shadow stepped a tall dark handsome figure.
She recognized the form in front of her.

"Angelus, My boy" She called to him.

Walking up to him and placing her hand on his chest, "Why have you come? Are you afraid that I will hurt someone you care for? I won't hurt anyone, thats why dru has came with me, she wants Spike back. I just came to find you, my love"

Angel

"Darla?" Angel couldn't believe it was her. Here of all places. He couldn't disguise his suprise at her appearence...nor her intimacy. Cordelia hadn't seen her in her vision. Or hadn't mentioned seeing her. Was she connected to that which had drawn him back to Sunnydale? Or was it simpley incredible coincidence? He swallowed.

"Get out of my way Darla."

It's not her. This creature that has her memories and her body (Angel couldn't help but gaze at that body...just once more...He had been so familiar with it in the past); it had taken her soul and filled the void with its demonic hate, its bloodlust and its unholy passion.

And yet...

And yet he still felt something for it. For her. Somewhere inside, hidden away from all eyes but that of his mind, he still cared for her; this evil creature who would just as soon bleed dry all those he'd come to help - the people he loved - for the sake of a meal. Not even for that; for she would take life without reason. Angel knew he should finish her; take back the body she had stolen from the light and return it to the dust. Should...but right now he almost felt he couldn't. The memories were flooding up inside him and his reason was drowning in the maelstrom they had created.

Darla still hadn't moved. She stood facing him; looking so innocent...so...human. Not that he was fooled. Not for a second.

But...

He whipped around and leapt into a side tunnel. "This is the price you pay for the privialge of retaining your soul," Angel thought to himself as his emotions settled. He knew he could kill Darla, but he also knew that he couldn't help but regret her loss. She had meant so much...so very much to him. For so long. He allowed himself to smile at his momentary weakness. He felt so...human.

Darla

"I cant believe he would just run away and hide. After all I have done for him." She mumbled to herself.

She started to wander away down the darkened tunnel towardes Spikes lair. She would eventually need his help.

"Oh, Angelus," Turning back for a moment "obviously you are interested in what I have to offer. Maybe Spike is more up to the challenge. You always were a bit of a coward when it came to the rules of the vamp game." She hoped this would get him to follow her and she could have him back again.

Buffy

~Hmmmmmm, I wonder what's with this funky weather today? I hope Dawn gets home from school alright...well, she better, I'm too busy lately to babysit her all the time...Willow will see her after school anyway, I really need to stop being such a worrywort..Buffy's brow is furrowed as she talks to herself while she changes clothes from her jeans and baby t, to her all black, super figure accentuating workout tights and sports bra. She grabs up her honey blonde hair and quickly throws it into a half bun, half pony tail on top of her head. She finishes up and makes her way out to the workout area Giles had so sweetly made for her at the Magic Shop.

~Buffy turns on the music and starts to stretch and lets her mind wander back over last nights dream...or nightmare... She kept having this dream of Spike, coming in thru her bedroom window, staring down at he with hunger burning in his eyes. She beckoned him to come to her and he did. The dream was sooooo real, too real. The way he felt, the way he smelled, even the way he talked to her. He was a different Spike, not the creepy, arrogant Blood-sucker she so loved to hate. No, this Spike was...well was a lot like Angel but diferent somehow. Very strange. ~Well, that's what I get for having a double mochachino before bed... With that last thought Buffy spins around and did a high kick, sending her boxing dummy's head sailing thru the air. ~OOps, sorry Oliver, haha. Hmmm,I wonder where Giles is....anyway.

Buffy continues her workout for the next hour, pretty much getting rid of some pent up aggression and energy. All troughout her workout Buffy's mind contines to go back to her dream/nightmare about Spike. ~I haven't seen Spike in a while... I wonder what he is up to, probably nothing good...grrrrrr. Buffy turns off her stereo and heads for the killer bathroom that attaches to the workout room, she quickly shds her soaking wet clothes and jumps into the hot, steamy shower. Suddenly, Buffy head begins to pound and her pulse quickens, she starts seeing images of Angel, then Spike, then she sees Darla's face. Just as quickly as this little drama started it stopped... "Now just what the Fuck was that?" Sopping wet Buffy walks out of the shower, wraps a huge fluffy towel around her then sits down puzzled.

The door to the Magic Box flew open as Xander came rushing in. Flying in the door and stumbeling down the 2 steps he forgot were there. Geils and Anya turned to the door and fallowed Xander with there eyes as he panted and weezed his way across the room and sat at the table where the scoobs usualy did all their work.
"Ahh! Funny Story. 5 Vamps walk into a bank..." he starts out as if a joke he'd just heard "... THEN THEY TRY TO KILL ME" Still getting gazes and funny stairs he ranted to himself. ~~"3 in the afternoon vamps wondering the city! Killing people! Robbing a bank no less. WHY DO THEY WANT ALL THAT MONEY?" he asked looking at Geils but not asking him in perticular. "Oh and to top it all off they were all guys that didn't show up for work today."

Anya Walked over to Xander and huged him and held him. Xander squeezed back. "They didn't hurt you did they?"

"So you do belive me? I'm not going crazy?"

Anya then realised what he had said. "Wait!" She said pushing away from him. "They were takeing money? In the Day? Well what if they come here juring the day? and they want the money, but Geils isn't here so i'm the only one here and they attack me... Xanders i'm not ready for that you go back there and you kill them before they kill me"

"Anya, calm down." Xander said holding her sholders. "they're not going to come here.... Besides i'm not going to go back there for anyone." Then talking to himself "Besides, Angel has probably taken care of them."
Seeing them stairing at him again, "oh yah didn't i mention that? I Saw Angel while I was running from the bank. He was running across the street... During the day!"

"Tell me I'm Crazy. Tell me none of this happened today" Looking at the two. "Come on tell me!"

Giles

"Xander, you say a group of vampires were out during the day, robbing a bank? Most peculiar... Of course, with the surprise thunderstorm, they would be relatively safe... so long as it lasted. Most vampires would never risk daylight in such a fashion, not unless they knew the sun wouldn't be coming out. And Angel is back in town? Hmm..."

Giles stepped back into Buffy's 'Danger Room'. "Ah, Buffy. I see Oliver has paid the price for your working off tension again." He smiled at the Slayer. "Xander has come in with some very disturbing news about a group of vampires robbing a bank just a few minutes ago. Also, Angel seems to be in town, too."

Spike

Spike was bored. B.O.R.E.D. He'd even welcome that bitch Slayer to come around and harass him! Spike was pacing in his crypt lair, smoking and muttering to himself, Bitch! Yeah, right! Gotta get around to killing her one of these days, too. Taking that beautiful, long blonde hair and... strangling her with it, right! Maybe then these damn dreams would stop... Me and the Slayer? Together? I mean, come on! So, yeah, I've helped her out a time or two, but she made me! And yeah, she's got a killer body, fantastic attitude, and is sexy as hell... Still, a vamp's gotta have SOME standards... Think I'll head over and see her tonight. Uh, scope out how I'm gonna do her. Just being patient, that's right.

Spike's train of thought was interrupted by someone bursting in to his lair. "Goddammit, don't you Slayer's ever..." he spun to turn at the intruder, thinking Buffy had come calling. Much to his surprise, a very wet Darla was standing there, "...knock?"

Darla

" Hey there, been a long time there, huh?" grining at Spike.

" I thought Angel killed you. What happened?"

"Well I'm back. I''m here to get my revenge on those who have hurt me and that slayer is one of them. I need your help" sliding up to him and running my hand down his face. " Have anything I could change into? It's been a wet day." looking down, my white shirt was see through by now, but I really didn't care.

I walked over to the bed and sat down, shaking my wet hair from my face. Spike wandered over and tossed over one of his shirts. He watched as I started to change, slowly unbuttoning my blouse.

Spike

"Hey! You're getting the soddin' sheets all wet! Do you know how hard it is to get things cleaned around here?" His thoughts awhirl, the blonde vampire lit a cigarette, and tried to think. Unfortunately, Darla was being very... distracting.

"So, back from the dead a hot, wot has it been, luv? A hot month? Already you wanna take out the Slayer... Angelus must've really pissed you off... Why not kill him, if you're so bleedin' ticked wi' him?"

He watched as she took off her blouse, licking his lips... "So, everything in working order? You didn't come back wi' anything messed up, did you? Gotta admit, they put all the parts together pretty well." The look he gave her left no doubt in her mind as to which bodily functions he was referring.

Buffy

I am lost in my thoughts...so many things going on...It must just be me.. No one ever told me being the Slayer would be easy...but damn I wish I could get a break... I start to rise and dry off. I grab my lotion and slather it on...special from Willow. I grab my undies and pull them on and then the hip hugger jeans Anya got me. I lace up my pink & white gingham top, fiddling with the eyelets. I just finish my quick makeup routine when Giles walks in.

"Angel"...... sighing I turn, leaving the "danger room" and walk to the espresso stand, then I start to fix myself a triple mochachino. I wonder if I should tell Willow or Giles about my Spike dreams.... They would flip if I told them I didn't want the dream to end...Snap out of it Buff..you have just been without a guy for a little too long... Ugh..how could I want Spike..I mean how could I want him in my dream.. "Great, just what I need", I say a little under my breath. "Xander, are you alright?, Those creeps didn't hurt you did they?"

I start pacing back and forth...something in my soul tells me that things are not right around here....especially if Angel is showing up...when Angel shows up, all hell usually breaks loose.

"Okay Giles, what do you think is going on...First it's this funky weather...then Vamps at the bank, too weird... they don't even really need money...not that kind anyway. What could they want all that money for...do you think we have some kinda King Creepy on our hands. Ya know I know who I need to go and talk to ...Spike, I don't think I've gotten all of my pent up agression out...poor Oliver just isn't as fun as Spike......"

"No they didn't hurt the ol' Xan man. I got my licks in"
With everyone looking in his direction he comes back to reality. "Fine" he says throwing up his hands. "he jumped on a chair leg... But i was holding it so in a sence 'I' dusted him." Looking around again. "i was the one faceing off against 5 of them, you could at least humer me!!"

Angel

Leaning against the wall of the sewer tunnel, Angel heard Darla's voice calling back to him. He knew the taunt was intended to rile him; he knew he was above it. Still he sighed nonetheless...it was a lonely exsistence to be the only one of his kind.

He knew the wisest course of action would be to follow Darla; to attempt to find out just what she meant by "what I have to offer." Did she just want him as a lover - seeking to use her sexual hold over him to win his soul over for the other side and bring back the old days of blood and sweat? As if that could happen. Or was she referring to something more specific...if she had brought Dru with her; or more likely Dru had bought *her* then it seemed most likely to Angel that they had something up the sleeves which clung so tightly to their slender arms.

His mind harkened back to the old days. Competeing with Darla in the taverns to see how many warm bodies they could each seduce and drain in the night without getting caught; allowed only to hide and disguise the corpses in the unhallowed building that was the night's choice to give them a constant thrill of discovery at any time. A game that, after a very short while, they became simpley too good to play; drinking their fill in an Irish pub and leaving nothing living in their wake in a matter of hours. When this happened they'd retire to their lair and play games with each other, or spend the hours till dawn haunting the graveyards and fucking in the cold stone tombs, surrounded by generations of the wealthy dead; Darla's orgasmic screams giving the sleeping villagers cause to dream of nothing but sex and pain...and tell tales of demon ritual by the fireside.

But those days were long gone, and despite the memory of the pleasure he'd felt at the time; the brief recolection brought nothing but guilt to Angel now.

He knew what he needed to do, and followed the sound of Darla's clicking heels as they echoed away down the passage behind him.

Angel

Angel followed Darla out of the sewer, and saw her enter the graveyard. Certain she was unaware of his presence; he slipped through the stones behind her, his keen inhuman nostrils tracking the heavy scent of her perfume when she disappeared from view.

He saw her vanish into one of the many crypts, unaware that it was Spike's current abode. He crept swiftly outside and listened beneath an the air vent at the rear of the structure to the conversation taking place within. Darla finished speaking, and then although he had not expected it, he was unsurprised to hear Spike's voice drifting out to him. He half smiled, then turned his attention to the grate once more:

"...Do you know how hard it is to get things cleaned around here?"

Dawn

school's out

i walk to the magic shop at my usual pace, not noticing how late it actually is, i walk in about an hour late

"Hi!"

Darla

"What goes on between Angel and I is none of your business." in and defensive tone.

Softening it to a sexier one "And I have been back longer than you think. I came back to this world a mortal"

A hungry look came to his eyes as he changed to vamp form. He lunged grabing her by her hair exposing her bare neck

Quickly she turned to her Vamp face and laughed "Spike Dru changed be back to where she knew I'd be comfortable, but a drink does sound nice."

Spike threw her back onto to the bed. and sat down next to her. They both turned back and resumed talking

"I want to drink from the little witch, you know, the one that lives with the slayer. Just imagine, a drink of innocent blood, warm and fresh."

At this she noticed how "excited" Spike was becoming.

Rolling over, "Kinda a turn on, the idea of ruining the "perfect family" of sunnydale. Maybe one of us could sire her, You like that, don't you Spike?" As she ran her hand down his face staring deep into his eyes

Angel

Darla's words were angering me. Question was whether to act on the impulse and burst in on the little 'meeting of minds' that was occuring or to beat a hasty retreat with the information I'd gathered and announce my presence to Buffy and her friends.

I glance up at the late afternoon sky and see the overcast cloud cover threatening to disappate uncomfortably early. The sun would still be lethal if I was exposed to it at this hour. Damn. Looks like the powers that be had made the descision for me...Time for one of my trademark unexpected entrences.

Stepping through the door quickly but calmly I enter the crypt. Spike leaps to his feet in surprise but says nothing, expecting a fight, but I don't move to start one.

"Sorry to interupt the party, but it's not like I wasn't casually invited, right Darla?"

Glancing over to Darla now who sits on the edge of Spikes bed apparently unmoved by my presence. Almost like she expected to see me...My eyes linger on her pert breasts that she has neglected to cover, the dry shirt laying beside her on the bed forgotten. Spike is getting angry.

"Did you know about this, Darla? Bloody hell, you and your little games...just lead this bastard right into my new pad why don't you?"

He throws up his hands appealing to the gods of stupidity that love to torment him so, and curses their acolytes who turn his unlife into a permenant chess game for their amusement.

Like Spike, I'm starting to believe this was a deliberate deception on Darla's part to get the both of us in the same room with her. Guess the only thing to do now is to see what she wants and let the scene unfold - no doubt most of what she told Spike was said for my benefit anyway. I can't help but wonder if her nakedness is not as much for my benefit as for Spike's too - death has done nothing to ruin that perfect body of hers, rain dripping down her hair onto her chest and beading at her nipples which have hardened in the cold air before dripping onto her lap...

Spike

"Right. I can see you two have a lot of catching up to do. Think I'll go for a walk while you do. 'Ta!" With a quick movement, Spike grabs his overcoat, for protection against the sun, if it comes out, and rushes out of his lair.

Angel

What the hell am I thinking? I shook my head. Thinking about Darla that way was not good...not at all. I grabbed Spike and thrust him back inside:

"No, on second thought I think I'll leave you two alone. You look like you want to a have a few words with Darla anyway - you might want to run over some ideas about basic hideout security together," talking to them both now, "but this isn't over."

I turned my back on them and glanced up to see the sky outside was thick with cloud again. The sun would be setting very soon...I had things to think about.

Xander looks at Dawn as she happily says HI Giveing her a smile he winks so no one can see him but her. "hey Dawnie late today. Been hanging with your friends? Mabey a boyfriend?" Xander teases her the way he always has.

---------------

Tera walked down the street comeing home from a late class. With so much on her mind she dose not notice a thing going on around here. She holds her notbooks infront of her abdamon to hide the bulge in the front of her skirt She didn't want to wear anything tight so decided on the long flowing skirt. She did not want to miss school and was too scared to ask or tell anyone about what had happened. Willow seemed so calm about it as if nothing had happened.
Getting home she put her books on the table by the door and imidiatly looked up hopeing it would go away if she could not see it. In her disorintaded state of mind she forgot to close the door behind her.
Laying on the bed she staired off beond the celing.
"it must be a spell? It sure isn't natural." She put her hand down atop in and quickly pulled back. "Willow couldn't have done this. She'd never do anything to hurt me. Unless it was an accedent" In her wonderings Tera went off into dream land sleeping uncomftorbly on the bed.
