So, you get this sense of De' Je ' Vue....I've known this person or place before. Is it coincidence? Or is it something more?

ESP? Or something more? Spiritual things and the Holidays go hand in hand. I beleived in nothing supernatural over me for the longest of time. Then the emptiness of my heart led me on a spiritual search...and after months of research and introspection, I came upon what I already knew in my soul to be true.

We treat others as we would be treated, or we come back again, as a wiser soul, to make amends and do it right.

Re-incarnation...what do you think?

I want to be reincarnated as a tight-fitting pair of Soron's jeans. :p

Actually, I get that deja vu feeling often, but I'm not sure that I believe in reincarnation. What fun would it be to come back as an egg beater?

Esp is another matter. I think we may all be born with it to a certain degree, but few develop it further. I did a science project on ESP in grade school. Part of the experiment was testing people's esp - or luck, lol - with a deck of Zener cards. While most people scored an average 50% at guessing what card would turn up next, one of my sister's girlfriends scored consistently in the 90% range. Interesting stuff, to say the least.

I pretty much agree with Arden. There are times that I get the deja vu sense. Especially when I am quite and can allow that type of thing to get through all the chaos of my life. I also agree with her that to a certain extent we all have a little bit of the ESP, whatever, but most of us are too busy or have not had the reason to allow it to go deeply. I think the Psychics on tv are all fakes, just out for money and to tell ppl what they want to hear. I do not believe in reincarnation. I think once we die that our soul leaves our bodies and goes to a dwelling place until judgment day. That's my opinion.

Re-incarnation...what do you think?

Emptiness & re-birth... As a Buddhist, both are central in my beliefs. I wish I knew who I was in my past lives. As for the future, I believe you're right...karma plays a big role.

I believe in re-incarnation... I also believe in ESP. I sometimes have dreams and they come true.. I also believe we have a guardian angel that watches over us.

I went to a fortune teller not to long ago and she said my older son would get a job by Christmas and he has...my youngest son would have a breathing problem and he does...and a few other things that I am waiting on. She didn't even know I had 4 kids but she told me I did...and she only looked at my hand.

I'm a big believer in reincarnation and the supernatural. I swear, sometimes I feel like a bug who's narrowly avoided about a 1000 collisions with oncoming windshields.

There is no coming back as anything other than a human...that is a falseness put out by people that debunk the concept of re-incarnation. But, to not be able to put this lifes transgressions on a loving god, who can forgive no matter how bad of a son-of-a-bitch you've been makes it a whole new ball game, doesn't it?

Makes living by the Golden Rule a whole lot easier if you beleive what ill you do to others will come back to you in another life.

Owlz, nice to hear it! The funny thing is that almost all the religions in their pure unedited form, teach re-incarnation.
The churches hiarrchy edited that out because, in beleiving in re-incarnation, it takes all their power over our lives away.

The Nag Hammaldi scripts show that Christ was a beleiver and teacher, a prophet who attained Nirvana, but decided to stay and sacrifice to teach some more....the ultimate Love.

when i get de ja vu i tend to try to get as far away from the place that i am...i've had dreams that come true don't know if that's esp...i wished someone dead and they died ...that was cool...and if there is such thing in reincarnation i must have been puttin the bodies in the ovens back in '41 haha

Re-incarnation means there is no where else to lay the blame for what ill happens. While I beleive most tellers are phonies, there are some who are not...I've known a few. Clairvoyants that can cause joy or such sorrow in their reading.

De ja vu!!

My belief is that De ja vu is a time in our life that we have screwed up and we are getting another chance to get it right this time. Cause we keep living and living through it till we make the right choice. So those times we have de ja vu are the times where are choices were wrong the first time and we finally corrected them this time.

It is a momentary mistake in memory. We associate memories with emotions or feelings. The wrong feeling is simply linked momentarily to something you see, someplace you happen to be and you feel a sense of memory. No mystery, no spiritualism, no second existence. Just a simple brain glitch.

Interesting that is. More to it than that, but the feeling of De ja vu may be a precursor to some fork in the road, where we have to decide whether to walk the high road or not....hmmmmm.

Welcome to Lit. and my little peice of it.

Yeah Owlz...I spent months researching religions and philosophical beleif systems from around the world...and kept coming back to the central theme of re-incarnation. I still read everything that catches my eye on the subject.

If you go into it with an objective eye for the truth, it soon becomes apparent that there were teachers...prophets, if you will, that had attained enlightenment...but stayed willfully to continue pointing the way. Instead of transcending from this plane of existance, they sacraficed to stay and be re-born again, to help the rest of us on our journey. The ultimate sacrafice...the ultimate Love. We need to talk, my freind.

Welcome to Lit. and thanks for stopping by.

I know the psychology of that train of thought...and it doesn't hold water. The human psych is deeper than that, the spirit that drives us is more than the combined electrical impulses coursing through our tissue...use your heart...not your head.

I tend to stay away from anything that might lead to religion but my brother just died two weeks ago.

To be totally honest, I was raised to believe that after death, our bodies are burried and our souls rest til the time comes for God to resurrect us to go to heaven. That's what I believe... there's no purgatory... we don't go straight up or down... we just rest.

As for the dejavu thing... I figured a long time ago, that I musta seen it in a dream or been there at some other time... kinda weird but the brain glitch makes most sense to me as I'm pretty simple in my religious beliefs.

The ESP thing... I think it's a hit or miss kinda thing. If you know someone that well, you'll be able to first guess what they would say or do... sometimes even personalities can dictate the behaviour, also.

BTW.... I don't judge anyone for what they believe because it's not my place to do so! I do live by the Golden Rule cause that's the way I was taught.... I treat everyone the way I want to be treated, no matter what! (That's not to say I don't have bad days but I try to apologize and make ammends!)

Hope some of this makes sense...

LizA, hon it makes perfect sense.

I have no desire to deride anyone's beleif system, just posing the possibilitys of a different path. It is what I beleive to be reality, and seeing if there are others who think the same...fellow travelers. :rose:
