Re-igniting Passions (Closed for Initiate_me)
Damian still considered himself the luckiest man in the world to have Lauren in his life. He had grown up in quite the abusive household and had actually 'run away' from home when he had been sixteen. From there he had lived on the streets and bounced between cities until when he had been twenty, he had managed to get lucky and get a spot in a homeless shelter. From there he had managed to get the help of one of the workers there and through a lot of hard work he had made something of himself.
He never did speak to his 'parents' again, instead he had managed to get help in transferring his high school credits to one of the social programs in the area and with further study was able to finish high school. From there he had managed to get himself a job helping out in a gym, and from there had worked to become a personal trainer. He had met Lauren and though at first, they didn't seem to have much in common, well things had progressed and they eventually did fall in love.
From there Damian and Lauren had gotten along 'famously' as others would say. They went out together, had date nights, and a year later Damian had proposed to Lauren on the docks near their home. Afterwards they planned out their wedding. Since Damian didn't have family to speak of, James, the social worker who had helped Damian to climb out of the streets and make more of himself had been his best man... and Damian had damned well almost cried when he saw Lauren all dressed up in her wedding dress.
The reception after the wedding was an amazing affair, and beyond that they did live comfortably. Through the work Damian did as a personal trainer, along with Lauren's income they were able to secure a small house together. A few years passed and though they were still very much in love with one another, their sex life had 'staled' out a bit. Of course, they talked about their desires, but at the same time they didn't always feel comfortable sharing everything. It was said everyone had their secrets.
Damian was frustrated with himself to be honest. He didn't really know what to do to spice things up. In a way he felt within himself like he was failing his wife, but they really just didn't seem to be passionate together. Even their once-a-week Date nights had seemed to be fizzling out recently. Having finished his work for the day, Damian ran a hand through his short dark brown hair. Their anniversary was coming up soon, and he wanted to take her out for a night on the town. He had already spoken with her about it and told her that they'd be going out to Marciano's. It was an Italian restaurant that they both enjoyed. It was on the upper side of the city and was more 'upscale' than they usually went to, but for their Anniversary, Damian thought to himself, it was worth it.
He was looking forward to some time with her. He had booked off the entire weekend from the Friday Afternoon to Monday evening, and he was going to ensure that he devoted all his time to Lauren, as well as their relationship. He'd be damned if he let things drift further apart between them!
