Name: Dazzle
Real Name: Lisa 'Slink' Patchett
Age: 21
Height: 1.78 m
Weight: 58 kg
Measurements: 34DD-24-34
Description: (Visual Reference) Either through genetics or exposure to something in her environment, Lisa discovered at a very early age that she had a preternatural ability to move quickly and quietly, to scale any wall, and to hide in any shadow. Lisa was born into the proverbial broken home and, finding herself with the resources to provide for herself, ran away from her home at age seven. She was taken in by a group of other children with unique abilities, ran by a man who called himself Fagin. Lisa soon earned the moniker Slink and became one of Fagin's best thieves.
At age 13, Lisa broke into the warehouse of a local museum. The museum had recently received items recovered from a dig in Western Africa, including a pendant with a very unusual looking garnet in it. Lisa was not impressed with the small, portable items and took the garnet almost as an afterthought.
Fortunately and unfortunately for Lisa, the garnet had been a pendant for the high priestess of a heretofore unknown sect. A high priestess that Lisa bore a remarkable resemblance to. So in a flash of light, the pendant disappeared, and was absorbed by Lisa's body, giving Lisa the divine powers once bestowed on the high priestess of the sect.
Lisa gained the power to "sidestep" reality, allowing her to go through walls, and also allowing her to teleport short distances.
She also had control of what she called her "dazzle field", a field of tiny lights which surrounded her, in varying degrees of brightness. She could even create balls or streams from the field for various purposes.
But the "dazzle field" was also the bane of her new powers. It didn't allow anyone to touch her. No matter whether it was with bare skin or a metallic glove, anyone who touched her would slowly but surely have their life force drained from them.
Lisa, soon to be Dazzle, took her leave from Fagin and headed to greener pastures. By the age of 21, she had become a premiere jewel thief, wealthy beyond belief, and living the good life on a Caribbean island with lax banking laws and no extradition treaty. If she wanted to, she didn't ever have to steal again. Unless it was something she really, really wanted. Like a priceless tiara. Because every little girl wants to be a princess, doesn't she? And a princess has to have a tiara, doesn't she?

Captain Mark Donners of the Royal Armored Police would be glad when this night was over. The Duke and Duchess had been having a gala in celebrating their eldest grandson's wedding, which included bringing up rare and precious jewelry from the ducal vault for the last three nights. This included a diamond tiara that sported a huge emerald, reportedly the largest cut emerald in the world. So everyone from the local constabulary to the national police had been involved in guarding it, including the men of Captain Donners' squad, four men in the most advanced armor the world had ever seen.
For the first two nights, it appeared the presence of Captain Donners' squad had deterred any supervillain who might even consider stealing the jewels. Still, Donners would be glad when this night w---
Donners thought was interrupted by the sound of startled people and a blast of dazzling light. Donner groaned, knowing who it was.
In the middle of the ballroom stood a beautiful, dark-skinned woman wearing a fashionable but very revealing purple ball gown. Normally, most of the men in the ballroom, as well a few of the woman, would have been openly ogling her. But the small tiny dots of light dancing around her made it an entirely different situation. The ducal gala had been crashed by the supervillainess known as Dazzle.
"Your honors," she began, looking up at the startled Duke and Duchess, "I really apologize. I really meant to be here on time. Look, I got a new dress and everything. And I would have been here on time, but I took this wrong turn at Albuquerque..."
Donner and his men quickly entered the ballroom, surrounding Dazzle. "Don't move," he ordered, as the men pointed their weapons at her.
"Oh come on, Lancelot," she told the Captain. "Look, I got a brand new dress and everything. And it's not off the rack. Designer original. I swear."
Captain Donners detached a pair of high-tech handcuffs from his belt. "Put your hands in front of you so I can hold you for arrest."
Dazzle looked at him with puppy dog eyes and sang, "I'd like to stay and taste my first champagne. Yes?" she added hopefully. As she saw the Captain approach with a no nonsense attitude, she shook her head and replied to herself in a sad little voice, "No." Shrugging, she put a hand to her cheek and in her best southern belle drawl, exclaimed, "On dear. The heroes have me surrounded. Whatever shall I do?" Dazzle held up a single finger, a bright smile on her face. "I know! Boombaby!"
Captain Donners heard an audible pop behind him. He barely had the time to utter, "Oh sh---" when it felt like a wrecking ball hit his head. He heard a deep bass voice shout out, "Boom baby!" as he went flying across the room.
A huge, pale man had appeared out of the thin air and began assaulting the rest of Captain Donners' men, while a huge solid fountain of white sparks formed over Dazzle, apparently to protect her from flying debris and armored men. And Boombaby made short work of them. High tech weaponry, electronically enhanced strength, it didn't matter. Boombaby shrugged off anything that hit him, and when he made contact, he'd bellow "Boom baby!" as another armored man went flying.
As soon as the noise died down, Dazzle emerged from the fading fountain of sparks. "Certainly glad I broke you out of prison again!"
Boombaby gave Dazzle a crooked grin and replied, "Boom baby!"
"Got to admire a man of few words," Dazzle acknowledged. Looking around at the mess created by the battle, she turned back to the Duke and Duchess. "I'd like to point out that this is not my fault. So don't send your insurance adjusters and barristers and guys in fancy white wigs after me. I'd just came to show off my pretty new dress and get a glass of champagne. I can do that you know. I'm 21, so it's legal. And I also came to see...oh!" Dazzle's eyes lit upon the ducal jewels placed behind a clear, heavy display case. Her eyes zeroed on the emerald crested tiara. She walked toward it, as if in a daze. One of the pages decided this was his chance, and rushed her. She casually tossed a small ball of dazzles at him, not even looking at him. As soon as the ball hit him, he crumpled and fell.
"So beautiful," Dazzle said, shaking her head and wiping a tear from her eye. She touched the electronic keypad on the lock and sparks emerged from her fingertip, frying it. The door opened easily and Dazzle reached in and took the tiara, placing it on her head.
"Oh, it fits perfectly!" she said, turning around and looking at the stunned crowd. Boombaby nodded his head and said "Boom baby!" in agreement.
There was another audible pop and two large suitcases appeared on either side of Dazzle. "Boombaby, would you go ahead and fill up the cases?" she asked. "I'm just a little too overwhelmed right now." Boombaby nodded and opened the cases, his huge hands shoveling in the jewels.
Dazzle looked up at the Duke and Duchess, who were staring at her mortified silence. She nodded to them before saying, "You know, I really do want world peace."
