Favourite Music Artist poll---Round One---PLEASE VOTE!!

Hello all.

Earlier 128 bands were nominated for a knock-out poll by menbers of the board..... they have now been entered into the competition.

PLEASE READ BEFORE VOTING

1. A list of 64 matches are below.... you must decide which of the acts in each 'match' you ant to go through and vote for it.

2. You must vote in EVERY match. Your votes will not count if you don't. The whole idea is to cause angst and make you vote against someone you like.

3. Likewise if you hate both acts, or haven't heard of either, you MUST vote for one. It's your choice... do some research, flip a coin, go by which name you prefer. You must vote.

4. Anyone can vote... you can only vote once...

5. Voting will close in THREE DAYS. The one in each match with the most votes goes through to round two.... and we begin again until we have a final and a winner. :)

Hope that makes sense... please ask if it doesn't.

I would suggest cutting and pasting the draw and deleting the one you don't want to win each match.... hope you have fun!!

Here is the first round....

I don't know if he did it for everyone, but he did pair up two of my picks as well.

Um... no..... I didn't pair up any on purpose.

I wrote the names on small pieces of paper..... folded them up..... put them in a box.. shuffled them... and drew them out at random..... it took AGES.

The whole idea of the thing is randomness... but with people each supplying 8, the chances of 2 of someone's getting drawn together is fairly good. 2 of mine have been drawn together also.

If no-one believes me, I can do the draw for round 2 'live' so people know I don't 'cheat'... but why I would on something like this I have no idea...

Thanks everyone for the support so far.

Ah... missed the grinch thing... soz mate...

I thought I'd better explain how I did it anyway... so no probs... the work is halved every round so the biggie is done with..

I plan to do the draw for round 2 with someone on yahoo... I'll randomly number the artists and someone can call numbers out.... that may be easier.

Cheers
