Ratings system idea: H for hot stories

On Literotica highly rated stories have a red H beside them.
I think we should do the same for hot stories and hot threads on Chyoo. This will help good stories, not just the top 5 rated stories.

Sounds like an iteresting idea. Is this based upon the number of views that it is getting, or the recent ratings that have been given?

It is based on ratings, so for example, every story rated 4 or more gets a red H.

how about each thread?

if the average rating for the thread is 4 or higher it gets an H. then on the link to the story (where it gives the perspective, deepest thread...) it will say how many threads with H's it has over the total no. of threads.

Plus, threads with 2 or higher get... well something (like b for boring or whatever) and it will also be marke on the page. that way, those who are into ratings (and who isn't, when it comes to your very iwn stories) will have a pretty good idea of the ratings.

And then maybe we could use the total number of H's minus the total number of B's (as an example) and us that as a guide to how good the story really is.

this rating system is still pretty shaky, but i think it has promise. Of course, it may be hard to implement.
