If you are going to rate a thread, please leave a feedback comment as well, whether you liked it or not. Pointing out things you like or don't like is valuable info for the author. So, please Leave Feedback.

Hmmmm...yea good point lol...esp when you rate it badly...gives the author an idea of what they need to work on

yes

It especially helps to get feedback. Otherwise I feel annoyed that someone has gone through and taken the trouble to give me a lot of 3s and 4s, but hasn't given me any sense of where I fell short. (At least I assume it's the same someone if a bunch of new ratings pop up at once -- they ARE anonymous, in case you're worried, unless you comment and sign them).

I've taken to requesting feedback for people who rate for my threads in my own stories.

Though when I'm rating others' stories, I sometimes give a '5' without feedback, and am reluctant to give lower ratings unless there seems a striking reason to leave feedback on a particular thread.

Hmmmm yea sometimes I don't always give feedback for a five...as for me a five means it was overly satisfying...but for less I generally give feedback...especially since I want to encourage and not discourage someones writing.

I rate folks pretty harshly, then, if folks think 3's and 4's are bad. 5's I only use for professional-grade, top-of-the-line stuff that has absolutely no room for improvement.

4's are for damn good, maybe needing a little editing for punctuation or narrative grammar. Dialogue grammar can be positively atrocious and I'll be fine with that, if it's the way the character's supposed to talk.

3's are for good concept, but really need the services of volunteer editing. Things like "Heals" when the writer means "Heels", "Intensive purposes" when the correct phrase is "Intents and purposes", using "who r u suppose 2 b?" instead of actually typing out the words... y'know, things that drive me nuts about web-published fiction in general and web-published erotic fiction in particular. Oh, and 3 is the highest I'll give a really short addition to a story, say one or two lines.

2's and 1's.... well, let's just say you've got to work hard to get those out of me. Egregious spelling and grammar errors, combined with a story piece that reads as if the writer never even looked at the thread to which (s)he was adding.

I leave comments almost invariably unless it slips my mind or my machine gets a little squirrely.

I am guilty of leaving negative comments with low ratings. But you guys are safe. I only really do it to one person. And I don't even know why I bother reading his stuff anymore. I guess I am a sucker for his promos... I shouldn't believe him when he says it's the best story in the world, EVER! That's just an example... I am not talking about anybody you know...

As long as we're discussing ratings and feedback, I want to thank Z and Torg for all the ratiings that they have given me over the past few years. I'll confess I leave ratings rather eratically. I'll try to improve my preformance in this area in the future.

I usually dont really rate or do feedback...but thats mostly because im still confused on how you do it...theres no damn submit button so i did some rating and feedback but i dont know if it goes through or not...but when i do rate a thread i do it more that it gets my attention or they make REALLY bad spelling errors. I'm not really that nitpicking about stuff like "your and you're" b/c i know that most people here are not professional writers and do this for fun.

Dino Colosseum

Dino Colosseum allows you to play a number of characters and dinosaurs from Dino Crisis 2 and the original Dino Crisis game. Pick your character and go to battle in the Dino Colloseum virtual arena. Below are a profile of the characters and there winning strategies. Each character you choose will have to defeat 10 Oviraptors, 8 Velociraptors, 3 Inostrancevia, 2 Allosaurusâs and 1 Tyrannosaurus Rex. After each contest you will get your rating. Again it will be S, A, B, C, or D depending how well you do.

The strategies for killing the dinosaurs in the Dino Colosseum are the same as in the jungle. The only difference is that this time you fight them in a virtual gladiator arena. Each character is equipped with Recovery, Hemostat, weapons and ammo. You cannot recharge ammo in this contest.

Regina

Use the Sub Machine to eliminate the 10 Oviraptors and the 8 Velociraptors. These are the first two waves of dinosaurs that Regina must defeat. Select the Chainmine to flip over the Inostrancevia then blast them in the stomach with the Sub Machine gun. Use the Heavy Machine Gun on the 2 Allosaurusâs and the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Shoot the Allosaurusâs in the sides. When you fight the T-Rex position yourself underneath his body. Move with the T Rex firing as you go staying under his long legs and belly. This way you can hide from his frontal jaw attack and get the No Damage Points.

Dylan

Use the Firewall as defense against the Oviraptors and the Velociraptors. Use the Shotgun to take these dinosaurs out. Use the Chainmine to flip over the Inostrancevia then shoot them in the belly with the Shotgun. Use the Shotgun to kill the 2 Allosaurusâs. Shoot them in the sides. Whenyou get to the T-Rex select the Rocket Launcher. Aim carefully as you only have 5 rockets and you cannot afford to miss.

Allosaurus

Speed is the key to success here. The Allosaurus is very fast and powerful. When you are attacked by Oviraptors and Velociraptors swing the tail to knock them out. Press the circle button to swing your tail. On larger reptiles like the Allosaurusâs and the T-Rex press the R1 button and the Square button together. This activates the speed bite. The Allosaurus runs and ferociously bites its enemies. A good tactic is to whip the tail and then run in and bite your enemies to death. Thatâs Circle then R1 and Square together.

Rick

Hereâs your olâpal from the original Dino Crisis. Rick only has one effective main weapon and you will have to use on every Dinosaur in the arena. That weapon is the Solid Cannon. Use the Chainmine to flip the Inostrancevia over then blast them with the Solid Cannon. Use the Firewall to defend yourself against the pack of Oviraptors and the Velocitraptors. The Firewall will block their attack leaving you free to blast them with the Solid Cannon.

Gail

Gail is fortunate enough to have the Flame Launcher as his main weapon. Use this on all the dinosaurs until you get to the T-Rex. Just hose those mothers down with flames and fire. Use the Chainmine to flip over the Inostrancevia and then hose them down with fire while they are belly up. Use the Anti Tank Rifle on the T-Rex. You only have 20 shells so aim carefully at the T-Rexâs head.

Tank

The Tank is a fun thing to drive around the virtual arena. The controls are the same as before when you drove through Edward City killing T-Rexâs. R1 and L1 turn the turret. The X Button fires the main gun and the Circle button fires the sub weapon Flash Bomb. The best thing to do all through the game is drive over the dinosaurs. On the Allosaurusâs and the T-Rex drive into them and fire shells into them. The tanks tracks grind up the dinosaurs.

Oviraptor

Hit and run tactics are the way to go with these guys. The Oviraptor is fast probably because of his light weight. The Oviraptor will kick and spit his enemies to death. To use the special attack move press the d-pad up, down, up and the Square button. Use the special attack on the Allosaurus and the T-Rex. As soon as you have attacked an enemy, run away and keep moving. To jump and kick press the X button. To spit poison press the circle button.

Velociraptor

Now you get to play as the Velociraptor after being hunted by it all through the jungle. It is a fast dinosaur with a deadly attack. All the moves are effective on all the dinosaurs so pick which ones you want to use on who. Press down on the d-pad and the X button for the bite down attack. To swing the tail right press the d-pad right and the circle button. To swing the tail left press the left d-pad and the circle. For the special move press the d-pad left, right and up while pressing the square button. To bite press the X or Square button. To pounce press the circle button.

Inostrancevia

These guys are heavily armored so use the Chainmine to flip them over then blast them in their soft bellies. These dinoâs are very slow to move around. Their attack is powerful though their jaws are very strong. To bite press the X or the Square button. To push enemies back press the circle button. To run in and bite press the triangle. For the special move press the circle twice, down on the d-pad and square.

Tyrannosaurus Rex

Now you get to play as the T-Rex. Use the power of the T-Rexâs bite to annihilate all the enemies. Press the circle button to bite. Press the X or the Square to bite and shake. Press up on the d-pad and triangle to run. To roar and attack press up, down, up and square. To pummel and tear press the X button and up on the d-pad.

Triceratops

Use the thrust charge as a one hit deathblow to other dinosaurs. Press the X or square charge. Press the circle to swipe attack. For the deadly thrust press the d-pad up, down, up and square. When you thrust charge it takes a second to activate first you will see a white flash of light. If you take a hit during that time the thrust attack will be aborted.

Comsognathus

This dino is fun to play as its so small. The Compi is tiny but its bite will kill raptors. Keep running and biting as you attack. If you get hit its game over. Press the X button or Square button to bite. Press the circle, circle and d-pad down for the special Compi kung fu move.

Dino Duel

Once you have played the game through you can unlock this game. To open the game you have to buy dinosaurs in the Player Entry Screen. After you have purchased Rick, Gail and the Tank a new row of dinosaurs will appear below them. You can now buy the dinosaurs with the EP and play the Dino Duel. A red fist icon will appear on the screen. This indicates that you are in Dino Duel mode. You can now fight another player in a two player to the death Dino Duel.

.

After you have purchased your dinosaurs you can play a two player clash or play as a dinosaur in the Dino Colesseum fighting other dinosaurs. You will fight in the same virtual gladiator arena as the Dino Colosseum. After you have purchased all the dinosaurs on the Player Entry Screen a couple more will show up. This is the Triceratops and the Compsognathus. The Controls and moves for the Dino Duel are the same as for the Dino Colosseum. For info on moves see the Dino Colosseum section of this guide.
.

...on to Bouns Stuff

Bacteriophage68, I have no idea what the hell you are thinking I am assuming this is just some kind of weird spam, but you actually have a good number of posts so I am not sure. Is there a point here, or is this just a bull shit ad for something you are trying to sell?

Ah, let me apologize then, SpectreT.

It's seemed like some other diligent reviewer has been following my new threads for the last several months, rating me with 4s and 3s -- not terrible, but never great -- and never leaving a comment. I've been wondering why it's worthwhile for someone to read and rate me if they never have any suggestions.

In fact, I think I only have one comment that offers a constructive suggestion for improvement toward the reviewer's preferred style.
