So I saw an animated short
which did inspire me to come up with a take or two on the story of Rapunzel.
Like one idea: different people find strands of hair in a forest that are so lovely they can’t help but follow it deeper and deeper into the forest. As they run their fingers through it and follow it, they have visions of an achingly beautiful woman whose long silken hair feels so good against their skin that they want to feel it all over them and even pleasure themselves with it, slowly stripping down till they are running naked in the forest and into the thorns. Those who survive finally find the tower and the source of the hair, which lifts their injured bodies up and up as a soothing yet sultry voice relaxes and excites them…and they are never seen again
Another: a poor tailor goes into the woods and finds Rapunzel’s hair. He is freezing and he hear’s a voice telling him to take the hair home and make a coat. He does, finding it surprisingly easy to do so. Yet he’s suddenly scared to put it on. But a customer comes in and buys it at a huge price. The customer suddenly has a lot of luck with the ladies and the tailor gets more orders, so he goes back out to cut more of the hair, which seems to have only grown longer and is more golden to the point it looks like golden threads.
He sells more and more, even having some customers offer their bodies too him for clothes made of the hair. Then one day, he can’t open the door as the hair is growing around his house. And as he tries to break out through a window ,he sees the bodies of his customers get carried through the hair like a bit of food in a digestive track, looks of ecstacy stitched on all of their faces.
