rape

:sigh: I guess I just have to live with the fact that every discussion about rape play has to start with several posts stressing it is wrong to take someone against her will... reminds me why I dont frequent the GB very much... better go before I scare off any newcomers...

that kind of contradicts itself. rape play is not against someone's will. rape, plain and simple, is.

i mean, i wouldn't have a problem with being raped by a few certain people. although that may be for more exhiliration than sex..

Exactly my point. And I wouldnt mind either being raped by certain people, for exhilaration AND sex...

I think the point of SweetErika's response to you (and she can correct me if I'm wrong) had as much to do with your calling a previous reply dumb as it did with the "wrongness" of rape. There's a reason why some people prefer terminology like "nonconsent fantasy."

A lot of people have mentioned safe words. Keep in mind that "No" should not be your safe word.

You said it better than I could, Eilan.

And really, why shouldn't discussions reinforce rape is wrong, very different than roleplaying/acting out nonconsent fantasies and much care must be taken to ensure the fantasy doesn't turn into a nightmare? Believe it or not, Wolf, some people don't know where the lines are, and some take "I want to be raped" or "I fantasize about someone raping me" to mean they have a free pass to rape others. Stupid and cruel, sure, but there are an awful lot of stupid and cruel people out there.

Isn't saving even just one person from a lifetime of pain worth a few minutes of our time to educate, reinforce what's right and help people play safely? Well, many of us feel it is worth ours, and if you're so bothered by it, the iggy button and Playground are within easy reach.

Absolutely, being raped for real is wrong, bad and so on. You really can't understate that. There are so many idiots in the world that stating good safety rules and precautions are always a good idea. Of course those sorts of idiots probably will skip over them but all we can do is try, particularly since, IMO, our society sets up women to fantasize about rape and many men to want to take that from a woman or child.

Now for the happier part of this post. Being "set free" from the guilt you might otherwise feel because of pleasure you were raised to believe you should not have, within a nonconsensual fantasy or rape role play, could be FANFUCKINGTASTIC!

*nods a lot*

It could also help you work through some things IMO if you've been raped for real. At least those things have been my experience.

This should never be tried without a lot of planning and mutual communication. There have been some GREAT pieces of advice on this thread so far IMO.

role play

role play rape works & is great..
my g/f had some old dresses to throw out...i lightheartedly asked if i could rip & tear one off her..she loved the idea & i will never forget her eyes being ablaze with lust as i almost tore her dress in half scattering the buttons in all directions.
now a frequent past time.
