Rangers Lead The Way

"At ease soldier! Welcome to your new life, welcome to Ranger school! Here we will test you, push you and we *will* break you! The next 6 months will be the thoughest in your life and chances are that you won't make it through basic training!"

This was how the 60 new recruits was greeted at the first day. Amoung these 60, fate would have it, that 6 people got tied together and pulled each other along as much as they could.

This is the basic set up for the thread, 6 recruits will be pushed through ranger school. If they make it they will be sent into combat, where there is a lot more at stake then passing the tests.

I need 3 males and 3 females for this thread, each needs to post their char bio and choose a "speciality" for example "Close quaters combat".

My char:
Name: Michael
Nickname: Mike
Profession: US Marine
Skill: Survival Expert and Close Quarters Combat expert. He is a good marksman and knows how to handle as sniper rifle as well (though nearly not as good as Lynne)
Looks: Michael is a tall young man with brown hair. He stands about 1.95m tall with fairly broad shoulders and well trained due to his many years of Marine service.
Bio: Michael decends from a long line of war veterans, Marines, Rangers and even a single Delta Force commander. He has never doubted the he would "have" to join the military and even though not having a choice he didn't mind signing up. He wanted to serve his country and so he joined the Marines, after a few years of service he decided he wanted to try something more. He signed up for a ranger school recruiting but was dumped, this didn't not scare him away as he applied at the next oppertunity. However once again they failed him, this was a blow that nearly knocked him down but he decided to try once more. This time there were no errors in his test and he passed a the top of his "class". Determined not to waste his oppertunity Michael is very keen on making it through the ranger school.

Profession: US Marine
Skill: Demolitions
Looks: Tanya is 5'9", 150 lbs, has buzz-cut dark hair, pale blue eyes, and light brown skin. She has a decent set of curves, though she has sacrificed 'beauty' in the interest of strength.
Bio: Tanya came from a poor Hispanic household in Brownsvile, TX. Seeing little chance to get anywhere, except in trouble, she entered the USMC. Her natural inteligence and cunning came out under the careful training of her Drill Sergeant and specialist trainer, and she took readily to dealing with explosives. She can set or disable any number of demo charges, bombs, or land mines, and can also improvise booby-traps and molotov cocktails in the field.
With all this, she proved herself also capable with a rifle, and very hearty in survival training.
She was recommended to Ranger school by her DI and specialist trainer, and she readily accepted the opportunity to receive Special Forces training and to use those skills to defend and further the interests of her beloved home country.

Samantha (Sam) Young

25 years old. 5'7, brown hair kept in a ponytail, green eyes. Slender but strong, built like a swimmer with wide shoulders and a narrow waist.

Sam came from a family of service minded people. Both of her parents were in the CIA. Her four brothers were all members and legends of elite organizations. Jake was in the Seals, Tom was a Green Beret, Matt was with a secret section of the Homeland Security, and Steve, the eldest, was a multi-star general at the Pentagon. None of them were happy that Sam had quit the local police force after six years and signed up for the Army. But then none of them had been happy when she joined the force, hoping that she, the only girl, would take up something "female" like nurse or teacher.

But Sam had been planning to be a Ranger since she was fifteen and no one was going to talk her out of it. As soon as she graduated high school she enrolled in the Police Academy. She spent one year in a squad car, and three years doing uncover work during which she saw the worse acts a human could commit towards another human. Her ability to shoot had put her on the SWAT team at 22. She had several awards back home on her dresser for her sniping ability. Plus, she had a knack for electronics and could wire and put together just about any type of communication system. After six years on the force, she joined the Army, always with the goal of becoming a Ranger in her mind. Now, after a year in the Army, and several more awards for her "eye" plus intensive training in communications programs, her commander had recommended her for the Rangers.

He decided in his early teens that he did not want to be picked on all hislife for being book smart. So he became fighting smart too.

Alright, i got the final female by PM and here she is:

Name: Lynne Taylor
Profession: US Navy
Skill: Sniper
Age: 25
Looks: Lynne is 5'9", 215 lbs, tan, very muscular (she grew up on a farm then went into the navy), middle of the back brown hair (always in s bun unless she's on a mission that it has to be down for), cobalt blue eyes.

Bio: Lynne comes from a family that has always supported its country. Her grandfather was in the navy as was her father. She is the first woman in all of her family to join the military. But she is proud of that even if her mother and father don't think she can handle it. And now to make it even futher she is trying to become a Ranger. She's often thought of as a bitch but hey it helps her to get her job done when nessecary. But if a person is on her team if she has to be on one she will be more then nice, but they had best not piss her off. She has to apply twice for the Rangers but damn it once she got it in her head to do something she was going to do it.
