Call me a masocist, but I'd love it if they'd add a couple of new categories, namely:

Oral Sex

&

Historical


In adition I'd like to see a story where the girl from Trading Spaces hooks up with Steve from Monster House. Or something to that effect.


What about Celebs who look alike? Mistaken Identity, or Gay/Lesbian triests between stars who could be (but aren't) twins. (Nick Nolte has two actors who look like him can't remember there names right now.) Rudi Baktar (the CNN news girl) looks a lot like Tina Fey (the SNL newsgirl) Jessica Simpson and Faith Hill (take a look, they are identical) Christina Ricci and Rose McGowan.(Or even moreso that girl from American Beauty) There are plenty more. Some celebs get mistaken for other celebs quite often. What about a fan encounter where the fan thougth they where screwing one celebraty but later reallized/found out it was another?


Go ahead and either add to these ideas, or just throw out your own random topics, I don't mind a bit!

I have written a couple of historical pieces and am working on two others. The problem with historical is trying to define it. Yesterday is history. The dark ages is history. Greco-roman times are history. While I think for authors a historical category would be neat, I don't think it would mean much to the average reader. The categories are more or less set up to allow a reader to get sex that fits their turn on. Historical could be any kind of sex and thus it isn't too descriptive of the nuts and bolts of an erotic story.

Personally, I'd like to see a Spanking stories category, instead of just lumping them into BDSM or Fetish. Spanking stories are quite popular, there are entire webrings devoted to spanking stories.

Personally, I just want to do the research. Keeping firmly in mind the old selfless quote "It's far better to give, than to recieve."

Hmmm I think ( having made a stab at the catagory a couple of times) That "historical" bears the assumption of being displaced in time, and social situation, (after all, where is the turn of the century story about the plumber getting laid by the customers????) to be different from what the reader deals with every day.

I personally would like to see a lot of the catagories broken down a bit. It is too hard to find explicit material even with a search.

Bdsm is not a subject that interests me so I am not likely to read them stories. But Butt spanking is kind of different and still kinky.

A good Topic you don't see of is M/F humiliation it seems to find it self in with the Bdsm stuff, voyer or Cuckhold. I wish it had it's own topic

I like the idea of subcategories.

I've also seen places where stories are META-tagged the way websites are for search engines. For those who don't know what I'm talking about: stories simply list ANY category they fall into. Obviously this would be a pain in the ass to implement, since poor Laurel would need to completely rewrite the search and category engines. But it's an approach that seems to work for other sites.

I don't like the metatagg idea for lit, (because I like the current category system) we do have a search engine if you want to search such things as spanking, humilliation or whatever. but if we did have subcategories, I'd really like to see Femdom. I agree too that spanking is a really good subcategory. I think that when you create a category, you find that more people begin to write that type of story, and often you start to get more variety under that heading. Rather than the same old spanking story, by a bunch of people who think their idea is unique because they didn't see any other spanking stories at first glance. ON the othere hand, I'm of two minds with sub-categories. It could really get out of hand-easily.

I agree, know that it would get out of hand. I was just being selfish and lazy wanting my prefered stories more specific.

More of a wish would be to have the new submissions in categories. Silly fetish of mine he he!
