This may be a bit random for an erotic site, but oh well :) I recently bought a new car and when I went to switch my car insurance from the old to the new, the sales agent made it seem as if I was really under insured. Just curious how much everyone would say is "enough" insurance, and if anyone's ever wished they had more coverage.

Too many times people insure themselves for the small things instead of the catastrophic events.
Take as high a collission and comprehensive deductible as you can afford when you have a loss and buy as much liability insurance as you can afford. I wouldn't have less than one million...if you hit someone or several ppl you could be responsible for a whole lot more than those small liability limits.

It depends on your assets. First you want enough insurance to get the car fixed in case of accident or replace it if its totaled, rental car service for when it needs to be fixed after an accident, a deductible you can afford, and enough liability/personal injury and such to cover anyone who gets hurt if there is an accident with your car, which includes if someone steals you car and hits someone.

If you don't have any assets the last part doesnt matter as much because they can't sue you for anything, but if you do remember anyone injuried by your car could sue for your assets. Some people have an umbrella policy.

Here is a WSJ article on it which explains it better than I can.

I have had drivers who hit me and caused injuries who wished they had more coverage esp. when my medical insurance company sued them. This was for treatment that went above the $21k paid by my PIP. I believe that accident costed them at least $60k in medical alone, not including car damage, and such.
