Random Bookmarks

I let a gaggle of kids use my laptop a few weekends ago and when they returned it to me, I had bookmarks for Webkinz and a video on Youtube of a guy on his stomach with two women popping an enormous zit on his back. I never shall allow them to use it again.

Bookmarks must be managed and treated with respect.

:nods:

For years, my homepage has been set to a random website generator - never knowing what first pops up : www.randomwebsite.com... Never knowing whether to read on, bookmark - or pass through... Oh, this was about something else... Never mind.

Ive always thought growing mushrooms would be cool. Its really neat how its done.

I've got a 16 stack crib down in the glen just waiting to sprout any time now!

It was a lot of effort, from downing the trees to cut, through innoculation. Started them in April and it takes at least 9 months to fruit. And conditions need to be right, cold and wet...

The ones they showed on Modern Marvels or whatever were grown in an old mine but they germinated in days not months.

It also needs to be dark doesn't it?

Those were probably white buttons grown sawdust for production. Total darkness is what takes the color out or they'd be creminis.

I'm growing shiitakes. They only grow in hardwoods like oak. Cultivated, each log can produce 5 pounds a year and produce for at least 8 years. They like a moist, shady environment. Mine are down in the forest...

I'll show you some pics if I can figure out this new photo program.
