glasses..for reading, computing, night driving, tiredness..
not short or long sighted,
its a convergence problem,
that and the remnants of childhood dysexic tendencies.is what i think the optometrist said.
would like to try these contacts for aesthetic reasons;
radioactive green,
silvery purple,
total blackout,
green cats eyes,
blue android eyes.
so what colour are everyone's frames?
mine: puple n blue with silver squiggles.

I've been nearsighted since 7th grade; began wearing glasses; then contacts; and now that I'm in my 40s... I need reading glasses IF I'm wearing my contacts!!

Been wearing glasses since the 4th grade. Tried contacts once, when I was about 14, hated em, and haven't tried em again since.
If I did, though, I want colored ones. A pair of green, and a pair of purple.
However, if I were to actually get the guts to do that, I think I would rather just get the surgery done, instead. (I have this thing about things going into my eyes.)

first off.. I'm frameless... just light weight wire frames to hold my lens on my face.. *L*
Gilly.. last August my mom had a cataract removed from her left eye. Oh my god.. what an amazing thing. no pain..and she now has near perfect eyesight.. even with the damage done from her stroke.
I had a friend.. he was cross eyed.. so bad that I used to tease him about looking at me.. not behind me when talking to me(he was good natured and knew I loved him more than the world.. and it actually made him laugh). Anyway.. he had corrective surgery on it.. he is the worlds biggest chicken.. they talked him through it.. and gave him a little happy pill.. it worked great.. and now I'm happy to say.. he looks AT me.. not PAST me when he talks to me.. *L*
So check it out.. really.. it's nothing.. If my 61 year old chicken shit mother can do it.. so can you..

I know there is no pain in the surgery. However, I have a huge stumbling block. I am wide awake, with my eyes open, while they point that thing at my eye!

So that makes me near-sighted .....no far-sighted.... ummm near-sighted .... I think.
I don't need eyeglasses for reading except when I forget to make the font bigger on my monitor. Umm, don't ask.
Sunglasses always outside I have light colored eyes and have to be careful of sun damage especially glare off the water.
Oval wire rims.
So that makes me near-sighted .....no far-sighted.... ummm near-sighted .... I think.

I"m a glasses-wearer for right about 22 years. I started wearing them in 6th Grade, and have worn them ever since. I can't wear contacts - there's something about my eyes being very sensitive to foreign objects. They swell up and get all and that's just not condusive to the whole "seeing thing".
It was a real drag when I was a teenager and used to do stuff for my church group where I dressed up as a clown and entertained kids. I was really good at it, but they had to be really careful about the face makeup. If they got it too close to my eyes, I was "Puffy the Myopic Clown".

I wear contacts 24/7. Glasses only once every couple of weeks when I'm letting my eyes rest.
My mom just had lazer surgery and she's very happy with the results. I'd like to get it done too one of these days. It will have to wait until after we save for our backyard landscaping for sure though.
