It poured here night before last and I slept soundly. Last night nothing but I woke up anyway and couldn’t sleep for a couple.

Yeah thunder is rough on dogs. Mine used to get under the covers nose at the end of the bed and shake wildly

Prefer that over last night's weather
I prefer that over last night's unstable weather here in the mid-south. Numerous tornado warnings were issued as that weather system marched through the mid-southern region. I'm glad that it ran out of energy.

Love the sound of rain, has a soothing and calming effect, can sit in the Patio on a rainy day and just enjoy the sounds and freshness that comes with the rain fall.also being joined out in the patio for some fun in the rain is always nice

I generally enjoy rain & thunderstorms while in bed, unless I have to work the next day and I'm woken at 3am and can't return to sleep.
As it's the weekend that could lead to some fun instead.
I like the fun option.

We were supposed to get really bad thunder and lightning here this week but it fizzled out before it hit us. Just rain and humidity. Nice now though. Clear and sunny.
