Racist murder in Arizona -

OK folks, it's started for real. A racist American has been busted for shooting at various Asian and Arabic ethnicities over the weekend. One of them has died, a turban-wearing gas station attendant. Please stand up against these people, who are 3 degrees from Timothy McVeigh, our own fanatic asshole. Bush really HAS to say something, as Giuliani did immediately and effectively, to his eternal credit.

Tuesday night in Augusta, GA: A Sign in front of a local mosque was spray painted with a filthy message for bin Laden, as though the locals had a direct line to the beast. Queerly enough, the message (left in the middle of the night) called bin Laden a coward. That is true, but so is the a** who used the cover of night to graftify the sign.

Wednesday someone called a local hotel owed/operated by Indian Hindi and gave a bomb threat.

Also on Wednesday, a fourth generation Portugese-American was threatened with a knife. He just looked like some of the men on the news!!!

Sometimes I dispare (sic) for my country and it's citizens. It seems like we will never learn.

I was just trying to think of human beings who might listen to Bush. Bullies generally only listen to their pals. I'm happy to report that my local Afghani Kebab House (which I've been quietly boycotting since they poisoned me for the second time with delicious, but problematic offerings), is totally unmarked. Sad sad state of affairs...........I have friends whom are of Arab descent and I told them all to "watch their backs" already. One of them laughed at me and said "Why?" I said go find the article on the Internet and Paper about some racial harassment by some stupid humans in USA towards people of/look or appear to be of Arab descent.....that just boils my blood.

Anyone tries to touch my friends, with bad intents, while I am around..........well they will have to deal with me as well.

I'm embarrassed to say that this atrocity took place in my own city. Suffice it to say, my family, friends, neighbors and co-workers who also live in the city think it was an appalling act of ignorance and hatred and are pushing to see that the perpetrator of this attack is punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Our legacy should not be that we confronted intolerance and hatred with our own intolerance and hatred but rather faced it with compassion, understanding, and a will to band together in divisive times such as these.

I feel bad for the people who have come over here and embraced the american way by addapting themselves and truly becoming americans they should be treated with the respect they deserve, but at the same time I also feel this would be a golden oppertunity to deport all those who are here but dont want any thing to do with the culture of there new country IE wont learn the language still dress in there countrys clothes, wont try to adapt and be americans they want to be *****americans. there should be no prefix on american either your american or your not. and if your not well I must say in the words of david spade "BUH BYE"

I remember during the Iran hostage situation, when I was just a kid, my brother got harassed for being a 'filthy Arab' - he was around ten years old at the time. We're not muslim. We're Irish-American, with maybe a sixteenth of Mexican thrown in the mix, and he just happens to have the darker skin, black hair, and dark eyes. I disagree. America is a melting pot. Our culture is enriched by the diversity of its people. I think it's a bit narrow-minded to expect every person who comes here to throw away their entire family history and start wearing jeans and eating cheeseburgers. I know my great-grandparents didn't do that, and I doubt that your ancestors did either. Open your mind a little.

What's happening with the attacks on arabic looking persons is an atrocity in and of itself. I am happy to note that we haven't rounded up anyone and done the concentration camp. The question is, "How long does a group of people have to live in America to become`American'." One year, ten, a hundred?

There were Hessian mercenaries who switched to the Side of the Americans 225+ years ago. Do their descendants get to be Americans?

One of my anscestors (sic) brought his family to South Carolina in 1776. Can I be an American?

Some of our allies in South Vietnam were rescued and have lived here since the end of the war. Are they and their children Americans? Or do we just count the cvhildren born in the States?

What about CB? Or others from India, and the "Oreint?

Sergeant, this country is big enough for any law-abiding citizen, "furriners" included. What we need to be able to do is locate, isolate and irradicate the the scum who would do harm of any nature to the innocent and powerless.
