Sorry, but I still see no humor in WD's post. Maybe you could explain what is supposed to be funny? All I see is the reduction of our nation's leaders to an inarticulate gangster persona because of his skin color. What am I missing?
Ebonics is associated with less educated, inner city gangs. I may have mentioned it, but that is the intended meaning of the use of such language. I did not make it up.
And tit for tat? Why is there a need to bring up policies on blacks in America in a thread discussing foreign policy for Africa? Are blacks in the US still more African than American? I don't recall anyone posting a racial dig about the Germans or the French in EBW's thread about ambassador appointments.
This is so blown out of proportion. WD posted something and lavender expressed disapproval. On another thread, people expressed disapproval about the size and content of each other's "dollies". This is the same situation. If you put up a dolly, and I don't like it, I can say so. If you post something, and someone finds it racist or anti-religious or whatever, they can say so. Free speech doesn't mean you can say anything without criticism - it means exactly the opposite.
