Will Eisner's dead? God, that man was a genius!

He made me want to draw comics, but he was so good I knew I never could.

If the only people who started drawing comics were the ones who thought they might be as good as Eisner, all comics would have been drawn by Kirby, Kubert and Heath.

I don't know much about the genre, but I admire originality. It's why I admire Tolkien: to people who don't know better, he's just one of countless writers of epic fantasy trilogies with the same basic theme, but when you know he created the genre, he's a genius.

Eisner must have been grateful to know there were fans who knew the difference and would keep his reputation alive.

I hope that before he died, he revealed the secret of how comic book heroines do action scenes in stiletto heels.
