Aw shit. I knew he had a bad ticker...he was talented. In drama, and comedy.

My condolences to his fam. :(

Working first as a bodyguard for Martin Lawrence, Will Smith and other stars, he began landing small parts in films and television.

In 1998, he played bouncers in "Bulworth" and "A Night at the Roxbury" and a bodyguard in "The Players Club."

While making "Armageddon," Duncan became friends with Willis, who was instrumental in getting him the role in Darabont's adaptation
of Stephen King's serial novel "The Green Mile."

Besides his mother, Jean, and his sister, Judith, he is survived by his fiancee, actress Omarosa Manigault.

sad

He was a nice guy in interviews.
Seemed very humble.

RIP.

I think he was born to play John Coffey and after that he was on borrowed time. I mean really who the hell else was gonna play him? God said "At one point in the future Stephen King is gonna write this great serialized novel and Frank Darabont is going to need a followup to Shawshank so I need to make a giant black guy who can act."

He was engaged to Omarosa (sp?). She CPR'd his ass back to life a couple months ago but that can't make up for The Apprentice and all the attention whoring after that. Bummer that he didn't have better taste.

Shoulda been her.

Rarely am I sad when someone famous dies, but Duncan was a good actor.

Ever since The Green Mile, which was his very first acting gig, I liked almost every character her played. He was perfect for so many roles because of his size and gentle disposition.

Oh well.

Oh well.

It wasn't his first gig. Not even close.

I always enjoyed his onscreen performances, and the interviews I've seen of him seemed to portray a very kind individual.

At least we got to enjoy his talent for as long as we did.

That sucks but after surviving a cardiac arrest and never going home again I can't imagine that his final 2 months were very pleasant...
