The conditions we've had over the last couple of decades has been called a free market, but so many big players, who had our legislature in their pockets, have had their thumbs on the scale, and it's always been like that, that I doubt we'd recognize free market conditions if we saw them.

It's rare when people do as you suggest, but its mighty effective.

In Vietnam I worked for awhile with a construction battalion. The staff sergeant in charge of my detail made a deal with the guys (work longer hours, get some R&R when the project was done), then fucked everyone.

Sixty men then refused to work another minute.

The cops loaded us on trucks and took us to headquarters, where a parade of non-coms and officers cursed us and threatened us with all sorts of evil. The guys hung together and told them to fuck themselves. In the end, a full-bird colonel came along, listened to our story, agreed that the staff sergeant fucked us, and gave us 7 days of time-off. Plus he transferred the staff sergeant to another project.

But I dont think taxes are the way to do it. I think Americans should target a dozen mega-corporations dependent on retail sales, and stop buying their stuff for awhile. Like the Boston tea-party. The mega-giants will then bitch-slap Bush and Pelosi into action.

If you think that's such a good thing, look at what happened to Yugoslavia, or what used to be the Soviet Union, or the Congo.

Seriously, revolution isn't necessary. Vote, run for office or start a new party if you're that unhappy. We've lots of ways to change things here without having to resort to violence.
