Sir Winston Churchill once said "It is a good thing for an uneducated man to read a book of quotations."

Well lets see if we can get a good thread of quotations.

Here is the First...or is it the Second....lol

A woman is the only thing I am afraid of that I know will not hurt me....Abraham Lincoln

"When I'm good, I'm good, but when I'm bad, I'm better". Mae West :)

"The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they are okay, then it's you." - Rita Mae Brown

:D

"Sir Winston, you are drunk!"

"Yes madam, and you are ugly. I shall be sober on the morrow."

"My mother never appreciated the irony of calling me a son of a bitch"

Jack Nicholson

"All the good ideas I ever had came to my while I was milking a cow"

~Grant Wood

Patrick M. O'Shea:

Ever wonder if illiterate people get the full effect of alphabet soup?

Does narcissism count as a hobby?

Support bacteria - they're the only culture some people have.

Another one.

"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there" - Will Rogers

"If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything"
- Mark Twain

If life is a waste of time, and time is a waste of life, why
don't we all waste time and have the time of our life?
--Unknown

The secret of staying young is to live honestly,
eat slowly, and lie about your age.
--Lucille Ball

"Due to their ability to expand the conciousness, computers will become the LSD of the 90's" - Dr. Timothy Leary

"Mr. Mayor, if you want to see the real vampire look in a mirror!"
"I can't, I'm a vampire!"

"It's like selling your soul to Al Pachino..." - Manu

If I was a genius Tech Nerd then I would only be able to talk to my project manager and he/she would have to translate anything I said. Alas, I'm just an average tech nerd so I can still communicate with other non techies. It's like selling your soul to Al Pachino for immortality. You have to sell your communication skills to Linus Torvalds for technical supremecy. I haven't crossed the line yet!

If the technical devil soul stealer person creature thing looked like Liz Hurley then I might be willing to deal!
From the Poll on the red background thread. Can this guy deliver the sound-bites or what?

"The way to solve the problems that you see in life is to live in such a way that the problems disappear."

--Ludwig Wittgenstein

"Love is the immortal flow of energy that nourishes, extends and preserves. Its eternal goal is life."
-Smiley Blanton

"People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they're not on your road doesn't mean they've gotten lost."
H. Jackson Brown Jnr

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us."
Helen Keller

"Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It's not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything."
Muhammad Ali

"Some things...arrive on their own mysterious hour, on their own terms and not yours, to be seized or relinquished forever."
-Gail Godwin
