Quote Laundering

I've been re-submitting a number of my contributed threads to fix the "Chyoo 2 Quote Problem" since it hasn't gone away on its own.

So, editors, if you get deja vu (those accented characters got clobbered in Chyoo 2 as well), it's probably because you've seen that thread before.

How?

How are you getting in to fix the problem? Everytime I access My Threads, it takes me to the thread... not to the "modify" option!?!?

My "My Threads" page has an "[edit thread]" link by each title, separate from the title link which goes to the reading view of the thread.

I don't see an edit threads option within my "My Threads" section.

What does that mean???

What is your url when you get to the "my threads" section... I'm willing to try anything to access my stories to modify them!

I have been editing my threads by accessing the edit thread link right below the add thread button. I have been taking the story to word and using a replace function to cure all of the bad quotes at one time. It acutally goes pretty fast.

Am I Blind?

I've looked on every page I have access to with my stories... and none of them have an "edit thread" option!?!?!

Click on "My home"

Click on "Threads"

Voila. There is an "Edit Thread" option next to each and every thread.

It's boring, but it gives me an occasion to go back and rewrite some stuff. Also, it seems like not all " are messed up.

French threads are terribly messed up though. I know French can be confusing sometimes (much more difficult and weird rules than English, IMHO), but that was not a reason to replace "é" with chinese ideograms...
