....especially with so many stories, trying to get published, and my new job.

However, that doesn't seem to stop me from getting ideas.

Case in point. My new job provided me with some new fodder, in the form of new co-workers and a hot new Hispanic supervisor (and that's not counting a gay Hispanic supervisor who flirted none-too-subtly with me). Damn, something else.

I've got weird ideas of a story where a guy starts drawing women like flies (including the aforementioned Latina and the co-workers), but he can't explain it. It's not a case where he controls the situation or knows why he goes from mildly attractive to some women to irresistible to the opposite sex. The trouble is that he doesn't believe dating co-workers or other men's wives and girlfriends (and many of the girls at work are both).

Another idea has to do with co-workers too, but's not really about that crew. It's just in general, based on that Bonnie Raitt song "Something To Talk About", where a girl informs a male colleague of rumors about herself and him (going with the basic plot of the song, after all). That one I think will be a single guy and a divorcee. I don't feel like making it a cheating tale. I want to stick to the basic spirit of the lyrics. I think that I will even make it one of my few stories with monogamous characters, just because I can't picture someone from a Bonnie Raitt song being a swinger (unless she sang about me LOL).

I had this idea for a SRP long ago, but nobody wanted to play.
I don't think we should restrict it to humans or humanoids though.
I have a storyline planned out already concerning a sexual device illegally hacked into and stolen (fake copy made).

Surrounding worlds:
Slave girl planet (women revolt)
Hypno-Ray robot planet
World of promiscuous same sex aliens
Liquid planet of double gender aliens (bigotry/revenge storyline)

All children born immediately put into hyper-sleep and sent through time pod, instantly transporting them to second pod 18 years later.
Being the inspiration for this story/game, if sometime you are free, you're welcome to join us, if I can get the thing started.

Be careful about using people you know or work with.
Let them have some input as well or it might get ugly.

Hope you don't mind, Severus, but I want to merge your idea about the Bonnie Raitt theme with the sequel that I am doing to nici's "Something To Talk About" somehow. Can't resist it. It would be too clever not to do, I think. Something along the lines of Jonathan finding a new woman after his divorce and rumors circulate about him and another woman. It's going to be longer than usual for me, I think, and very poetic justice in that Jonathan finally finds happiness. As for Susan, well, she can eat her proverbial heart out.

Not a problem, dude. I was toying with both ideas, but not up to either one. The idea of combining them sounds intriguing. Especially as it seems to fit both male protagonists. Neither of them seem the cheating kind, but both might go for a revenge affair. It's only fair, that revenge affair, at the risk of a rhyme. I would love to see how you make those two work together. What would you call it? How about "Let's Give 'Em Something To Talk About", thus using that whole line from the chorus? And the circumstances are right for such rumors, aren't they, in the wake of a divorce that he would probably not explain to everyone....I'm assuming that they are divorcing in that scenario. It makes more sense that way.

Oh, and her approaching would do much to help Jonathan's battered self-esteem? But how would they meet? Just curious...

Thanks. I'll do that with Chapter 2's title. However, the first one I am calling "What's Left To Talk About?" It's a question, meant to present Jonathan's reason to move on with his life with a new woman and leave Susan.
