Quick update!

Update on the move: we drive out early-ish (ish as in sometime before noon, knowing us) Sunday morning. Which means my computer beast will be broken down either tonight or tomorrow and will be packed away. That's what happens when you have a desktop instead of a laptop.

I'm sitting here with a mental image of it screaming "No disassemble! No disassemble!" the whole time, but that's just me....

Anyway, it boils down to the fact that we're pretty much set. Doing the whole carpet cleaner thingy today, gathering what few odds and ends are left, and going from there. Tomorrow we go to pick up the Uhaul. Saturday some friends are coming over to help load it so I don't have to help move furniture. That usually ends badly for somebody. Usually whoever's foot the couch is dropped on.

So, um, anyway... If you don't hear from me for the next week-ish (hopefully less - get twitchy without my net access) it's because the Bodyguard won't let me use his laptop.

Thee - Nah... She's already there. She went down the first time he went down. They spent about a week there, then he came back to spend two weeks with me finishing packing and stuff.

Thanks everybody! No guarantees the computers will be the first things up and going - that depends on when we get net access down there - but it won't be long after. Maybe a day or two. He's taking classes online, so needs to have his up, at least.
