Two quick recipes that work easily and taste awesome!

1) Fruit Dip:

Combine 8 oz of SOFT CREAM CHEESE (lite for low-fat people)
(It has to be soft... let it sit out a bit if you have to)

With 7-8oz of MARSHMALLOW CREAM (also must be soft... again you can leave it out to soften)

Stir them together lots and lots or whip... then a tsp or so of lemon juice to taste.

VOILA! Fruit dip.... great with any fruit but especially bananas!

2) Party Punch

Pastic bottle of CRANBERRY JUICE and 1-2 Liter bottle of SPRITE OR 7-UP (any clear carbonated beverage basically)... combine them by pouring into a massive punch bowl.

Add a few large scoops of SHERBERT (preferably orange) into the mixture (don't stir). Let the sherbert be "affected" by the carbonation... taste it... it is yummy!

Okay so anyone else have something super quick and yummy to share?

I just noticed... I am a GURU!!!
EEEEEE!!!!!

Who want to get me drunk?

Well now, Jade honey, I'll gladly deliver the booze to your house...but only if you promise that I get to see you naked :D

Congrats Jade, just open up a bottle of your favorite adult type beverage and begin pouring it down your throat...or neck...or chest....hehehehe...I'm sure I can catch any spillage for you before it stains the carpet, I mean I will be down here on my knees giving you a special Guru Congratulations Kiss after all....

Havoc

BTW...nice recipies, let's try them out with a party

*grins and hugs* Congrats, Jade baby!

Let's see.. Easy party recipies? The best is to just pour a jar of shrimp cocktail over a block of cream cheese and serve with triscuits.. it's good.

i remember that party punch recipie

we made that in girl scouts when i was like 10 ok yea the only reason i remember that is because im only 20 so that was only 10 yrs ago dont pick on me because im a baby i know i am but im a cute baby at that if i do say so myself.

kisses licks and nibbles

Congrats on your new status, Your Guruess you!

Delicious celebration apetizers:

Arbor Mist Cranberry Twist White Merlot

Serve with Stuffed Mushrooms,

Super easy, even when you're tipsy. Make a quick roux out of 1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup flour and 3/4 cup of your favorite cheese. Toss in whatever spices you like. A little garlic, paprika and fresh ground pepper works well. Use whatever kind of mushroom caps you prefer, the bigger the better (I heard that!). Wash, and stuff the roux mixture into each.
Bake for 10-15 at 350 F, until bubbly brown but not burnt.

Enjoy! Oh, they're even better if all the ingredients are organic. Makes everything taste like "grandma made it".

Now I'm hungry, damn.

Fairly quick:

A good, sourdough baguette
Roasted Garlic olive oil
Brie
Goat Cheese

Slice the baguette; brush one side of each slice with the oil; broil until just toasted.

Top with a slice of brie or goat cheese; stick quickly in the broiler until just melted.

Really good. Keep an eye on the bread, though. From "just toasted" and "just melted" to "charred" is a nanosecond.

HAVOC!!!

I am a little shy about nakedness despite my exhibitionist tendencies so can we start out slow... like I can at least wear a bikini or something?
Dont' worry, since I have never been drunk before... I have a feeling even that wouldn't stay on long!
;)

And don't forget my special guru welcoming kiss you promised!

OLIVER:

Baby are YOU gonna get it!

ENDLESSLY:

I want to try out your recipe at the party, can we can we??
LOVE triscuits total obsession have NO idea why! When I was a kid I would eat them line by line nibble nibble haha, so yummy...
And that was a great hug, thanks... (awe).

NAKED HUNNY:

I was a girl scout too? Did you ever win the cookie award?
I am still pissed when I remember how I got jipped from the cookie award. I had sold the most cookies and so the troop leader (whose daughter was in my troop) went and purchased just enough from her daughter to tie with me plus one more! So I ended up with second place. That was the year of the manatee. I loved my plush manatee though... even if admittedly I was somewhat bitter.... unlike people today, I never hung out at walmart bugging customers I went DOOR to DOOR baby!!

BTW: what are YOU wearing? (j/k)

You made that sound so perfectly yummy!
Thank you thank you!!!

Jade, you and I should open a restaurant! Singing chefs, all hors d'oevures served on triscuits. *giggle*

Congrats, Guru Jade...

How about ketchup + water = tomato soup?

KIDDING!

How about skewering scallops, brushing with whatever Italian salad dressing you have around the house, and throwing 'em under the broiler? You can do the same thing with any cut of fish or chicken and it tastes fab... so easy!

:)
LOL

Laurel!
Wow that sounds awesome!! I want some right now! yummmy!
Can you believe I made it to gurudum? I am so proud ahhh!

I love cheese, too. Bread and cheese and wine is the absolutely ideal meal for me. Portable, tasty, and relaxing, requiring very little in the way of cleanup.

If you have a little more time at your disposal, prepare the bread, but also chop tomatoes, basil and garlic together, tossing with a little olive oil. Top the toasted bread; bruschetta, and really really good.

Congrats on guru

My mom used to slice white bead(crust off) into strips then dip it into condensed milk and then roll it in coconut flakes-they need to bake at 350 for about ten minutes-makes a great easy macaroon.

My favorite quick recipe is to take a pear, peel and cut it into eights-long ways.
mix 1/2 cup softened butter with 1 cup crumbled roqueforte
squueze onto pear and then wrap with proscuttio....
you can reassemble the pear and tie it with chives very attractive and delicious.

Wow.. I forgot all about those style macaroons!! Thanks Earthgoddess, a piece of my childhood back again. We thought they were heaven.
Must go see if I have the ingredients.

Easy Key Lime Pie

1 tub cool whip
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 bottle lime juice
1 prepared grahm crust
1 lime, cut in wedges or slices

mix milk and lime juice well
fold in cool whip
once consistant puor into pie crust
decorate edges with sliced lime
refridgerate for at least 1 hour

YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and OHHHH so tart!!

catalina chicken

boneless chicken breasts
1 small to medium onion, cubed
1 8oz bottle of catalina salad dressing

in a shallow baking pan, a little of the dressing so it doesn't stick, chicken breasts, cover with onions and cover all with remaining dressing. bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes, basting every now and then.

you can also use french dressing or honey dijon mustard, but then it wouldn't be catalina chicken, would it?

Thank you very much!!!

Thank you so much people. After I've read this, I'm hungry like I've never been before. AND I HAVE NO FOOD IN THE FRIDGE!!!! :(
Thank you people for forcing me outside into the cold and rainy scandinavian summer, to do panic shopping for delicious recipes. Thank you. ;)

Super quick and good
Thin mints and a glass of milk

Now if you like it hot!

Take canned biscuits(you know the ones in the carboard tube) cut each one half and roll till flat
spread cream cheese on one side of bisquit
take whole jalapeno peppers, cut in half and deseed
fill either half or whole pepper with montery jack cheese
place on cream cheese side of bisquit and wrap up the pepper
pinch edges shut and coat with shake and bake for chicken
(you can substitute any mix of seasons you like for coating)
bake in oven at 400 for 10 - 15 minutes

MMM thought of another thing we love, take a whole head of garlic, slice top off, brush with olive oil and wrap in foil...bake for 1 hr at 300 or grill bake-garlic should be mushy, now for the fun...
spread it on warm, soft bread and sprinle with parmesan
mix it with butter and pureed chipolte peppers and a splash of lime then smear hot corn on the cob with it
spread it on thin slices of rare roast beef
mmmmmmmmm this is torture I can't eat until this evening since I have major dental work today, hope it is as fun as the National Republican Convention! woo hoo-just kidding.

XANDER:

I know exactly what you mean!

EARTHGODDESS:

You said the majic word: CHIPOLTE baby! oh yea!

Fallen Angel: MMMMMMMMM

CHEF:

Okay baby, I am inviting YOU first!
You sweeite!
;)

MERELAN:

Actually, I have never HAD macaroons, but I think perhaps now I shall try.....

NURSE:

GEEZ that sounds like a delightful delicacy.... a prelude to a sexual encounter one could even say... have you been experimenting...?
;) ;)

DOCGTVT:

MMMM, I am a vegetarian and that one STILL made my tastebuds water... and SO easy to make too!

That punch one is my favorite...my daughter now has to have Sprite in her juice constantly...*shrugs*

Mix cream cheese and salsa together for chip dip (heaven!!)

Chop up tomatoes, add garlic, pepper, basil, any spices you like to taste...lightly toast sliced up french bread in the oven...spread mixture on bread (yummy)

Grape soda and vodka...heehee...I think it's called Purple Passion (and I think those are the ingredients...it's been a while since I've had it, but it should work)...it's illegal here for some reason, but they sell it in a lot of liquor stores elsewhere...we just make our own. :p

Mountain Dew (well, Mello Yello until the strike ends) and Raspberry Schnapps...can be any BERRY schnapps...yumm, yumm

I always just eat Triscuits with cheese melted on them...not sure about that sauce stuff...hmmmm

Okay, more later, must get food.
