I have deposited directly into my daughters accounts on occasion. There is a small charge if there is no branch of the bank I use, in their town.

Besides all the online services (PayPal, etc.) if you want to send a check, you can just FedEx it overnight in a FedEx letter. If the amount is large then that is the cheaper way to do it than wiring money as they don't take a cut of the money amount. Other's have suggested other methods that are just as good too.
