Quick query - link to single post?

How does one

a) single out 1 post in a thread? 'showpost' I think the function's called.
b) set up a hyperlink to a single post rather than a whole thread?

Have wondered for a while now and figured somebody must know.

Right-click on the post number in the upper right hand corner of the post.

Select 'Copy Link Location' (at least in Firefox; other browsers should have something similar).

Paste that link into the new post.


Alternately, you can left-click on the post number and open the single post, then copy the URL from the address bar, and paste it into the new post.

In Internet Explorer, you can right click and there's 'copy shortcut' for anyone not using Firefox.

In different themes, the number might be in other places. I know on phpBB forums with the standard skin, you have to click on this little folded paper icon instead. But yeah, it's always on that bar right above the post. Handy stuff.
