Hi, new literotica user here

I've been looking for a tasteful erotic literature website for ages and now I've found it. woot

I have read the faq and had a look around the board but still have a question. It's probably been asked before and I'm just being a moron in missing it, but;

is it alright for me to post a whole story to get some feedback on it before I submit it? in which board folder should I do this?

I'm going to take a guess at your question, mostly because I'm not really sure I know, but I'm certain that someone will correct me if I'm wrong!

In the main board directory, I'm pretty sure that there's a story feedback forum. If you pop in there and ask nicely, I'm sure people will be happy to help you out.

Do you intend to submit your story eventually?

Is it the story as a whole you want feedback on?

Or do you just want another pair of eyes to prrof-read it/check the style, grammar etc?

There are volunteer editors who can help with the latter.

Otherwise, Id just go for it!

Yes, you can do that. Either ask for some beta-readers here or in the Story Feedback forum.

If you want a really deeper analysis, you can also try the Story Discussion Circle, but there are more specific rules for that one.

No, seriously: welcome to Lit.

There's a lot of people who'd be happy to look at your story. Things are slow at the Story Discussion Circle board right now, if you want some in-depth help. PM Pure (he's manning the board these days). You'll find his name over on the SDC board. Or you can just post it there and invite comments

If you just want to cut & paste your story, be aware that it can't be over 5000 words or it won't fit. That can be a problem, but maybe there are just sections you want looked at.

The SDC board goes into some detail and usually looks at the overall style of the piece, what works, what doesn't. If you post your story to the Story Feedback board, you;re more likely to get simple "liked it/didn't like it" comments.
