Well I have been experimenting with shoving things up my ass and I have been wondering if it would be ok using vaseline as a lube?

Never shoved anything up my own or anyone else's before but i'd think it may burn abit!!!

KY Jelly is probably best for the job go to a chemist and get some its not that expensive.

The subject of lubes to use for anal play and sex has been discussed many times in this forum.

That said, vaseline is an acceptable lubricant but is by no means the best.

I like Vaseline for masturbation, but it is not ok for safer sex because it breaks down condoms.

Some people suggest that it dries out the mucus membranes of your rectum or somesuch, but I prefer the staying power of Vaseline over water-soluble lubricants. I've never had any bad effects from using it.
