Is there a rule that more than one person has to be in the sexual role-playing thread? For instance if I wanted to post a 'journal' would that be allowed? I'd like to be part of an active story and most of them seem to be well under way. What's the best way to jump in? Thanks in advance...

You could post a journal of events but wouldn't it be more fun to have someone to write with.

If you have an idea for a story and are seeking a male writing partner feel free to drop me a pm. Also try a search for my writing and see if you think we could click as writing partners.

Hope this helps.

Just hit the Casting Call, or CC threads to see if you can join. I know right now there's quite a few out there. The SRP boards really nice, honest, just dive on in.

There is no rule, per se, however, it is supposed to be "role play" so that would lend itself to the idea that others would be involved playing a role. I'm not sure exactly what you have in mind, but if the journal entries have a common theme and are long enough, I would assemble them and submit them to Literotica. There is a category called "Letters and Transcripts" that could handle what you seem to want to do.

As far as "jumping in" to an established roleplay, it can be very difficult. I can remember when I first visited that board 2 years ago, most role plays were open to anyone and everyone. Now, not only is it difficult to find a story that is fairly new, it's also almost impossible to find stories that are not closed for a specific group of people. That truly is sad.

There are sever "OOC" clubs that you might want to try posting to. Many people have started there, gotten to know a few people, and started role plays with them. Anymore, that seems to be about the only true way to become involved, unfortunately. Or, you can simply bite the bullet and start a roleplay yourself. It does seem to be much easier if you are a female, keep it in the present day, or go to a sci fi/fantasy type thing.

Good luck! I started there and moved on, but it can be a lot of fun, once you are able to "break in!"

There is no rule against a solo SRP. It might even be a unique approach to SRP. But I doubt if very many people would take time to read it.

The best way to join an active SRP is to PM the originator and ask permission. I would sugest you have a possible character to present and convince him/her that your new character will add soemthing of value to the SRP.

I'd be glad to discuss SRPs, or start one with you, if you would like to PM me.

Hello there!

Another approach is taking an SRP you're interested in and PM'ing the thread starter and asking if theres room for you to join. As long as it doesn't say it is private for such and such and such and such theres no harm trying..and even if there isn't space in that particular SRP the person might be able to recommend similar ones to you.

Or start your own. think of an idea and post it...see what happens!

Either which way good luck..and if you want any help or thread suggestions drop me a pm and i'll see if i can help!

Thank you all..I guess jumping in helped. So I just offered to play in a couple of SRP threads. I may start my own but I don't want to limit myself. The idea here is for me to grow as a writer and I think that means to venture into the unknown. To write about things I normally wouldn't write about.

I am amazed at the talent here...simply amazed.
