Do we really need to seperate non-straight people from the rest of the world?

this sort of reminds me of the graduation I went to this weekend where the family of a dead student (he just died like last week right before the graduation) was asked to come up on stage. I was like, yeah, great idea, let's all point at the sad people.

Is this like that?

discuss and pay me for coming up with the topic.

Actually, my understanding of how this came to be is that someone said "hey I wonder if anyone would post to this?" and created it.

It's not like they set up a ghetto or something. You can post or not post. Personally, I think it's kind of neat, like I can choose to go to a mixed bar or a gay bar.

(one of the shortest posts i'll ever make)

I like your answer.

nod nod okay as long as no one thinks i'm pointing at them

<hiding my pointing finger...>

I don't understand the creation of a special forum

Does this mean I have to move my stories here (The Silencing Machine et.al?) I don't really want to.

I think its nice to have a separate forum but at the same time...I am left wondering ...was it really necessary?

I think it's kind of nice to have a place to discuss stuff like this without gay bashers having the ability to act like the Phelps of internet typing in a thread.

Not that I've seen it happen on the GB aside from some hijacking of certain "files" threads.

Plus there seems to be (Finally) some more GLBT posters coming out of the woodwork.

Maybe if we misbehave enough, Laurel will make a GLBT playground.

;)

My concern is that this is just another place to troll.

I think it would be more protection from trolling since this forum, like BDSM is moderated.

We'll see what happens though.

If the trolls come and are allowed to stay, then there really is no point in this forum. IMO. I can post in the GB if I want to to deal with trolls.

I think it's great to have a safe, open place for real discussions about GLBT sexuality. Tolerance can't be imposed on people, but intolerance can be prevented from rearing its ugly head here.

It's my understanding that the whole point of this place is for people to be able to express and explore their sexuality, and a dedicated GLBT board is entirely in keeping with that philosophy and entirely warranted.

Sounds good to me.

Who feels Seperated!

I go freely where I want to. If I want to go into a chat I go, who care what other people think, so what if their minds are incapable of handling the actions/conversations of other. #1 most common phrase F_CK EM ALL, and WHO CARES. If you worry about being seperated or pointed at well check yourself again. what makes someone famous??? the fact that more than one person points at them!!

wow...this is a three year old thread!

Talk about bumped from the depths

yeah it scares me to see a thread i started pop up and be like "when did i start that? was i drunk?"

luckily i look at the dates and know that no, i wasn't randomly drunk and online in the recent past.
