Question

I'm guessing a thicker variant of the plastic your teacher would show slide shows on.

Hmmm. Ok.

Either way, accuracy isn't important, I'm writing an essay about me, which I don't want to do, so I'm making up my experiences.

My favorite activity? Going to the movies and calling up people ;)

What are movie screens made out of?

Depends on how old it is -- the only one's i've examined closely are 30-40 years old, but the important part is the coating over whatever base the screenis mounted on.

The coating is a translucent silver-white paint filled with very small glass beads.

Newer screens probably make use of improved plastics and optics technology -- like that used in bicycle reflectors -- to improve refelctivity.

Me too! I've geeked away many hours there, learning about all kinds of things :)
