Question regarding contests

Being a newbie, I was curious when you see the winners of the monthly contests appear.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Also, I noticed that I lost a vote, and my ratings went up... Can someone explain that to me?

Ah yes, you were hit by a "troll" or "one-bomb". From time to time the adminstrators will remove an invalid 1-vote. That brings your voting score up.

As far as the contests, it's usually around this time, just watch for the announcements.

The voting on monthly reader's choice contests closes on the 15th of the following month. Winners are typically posted a few days after that.

As for your score, a voting sweep was probably done and an invalid low vote removed.
