Question re posting

Hi,

I only want to know how long it takes from the moment I submit a story to its release. I understand there are many factors that need to be considered, but I am only asking for a ballpark number.

In addition, my story shows "Pending" but the number in the Views box is 58. How come? Does this show the editors checking it out? Can members access unedited stories?

Generally 3 to 5 days unless you posted a word doc - could be a couple of days longer. Contests take priority and that could delay things.

'Views' just means the number of times your story has been opened before posting - more if a Word doc. Just a warning that views don't mean 'reads'. Someone opens your story and you get a click but they may not read it.

If members access unposted stories in the pending file, this just sends them to the back of the queue.

Be patient and post a link when the curtain rises on your chef d'oeuvre and we'll go praising you to the heavens.

Just to clarify - the only ordinary member who can access unposted stories in the pending file is the member who posted it. Nobody else even knows it is there.
