Hello again.
I have a problem that has stopped me posting recently.
When I view and resize pics there seems to be links on my computer (Win XP) that I find are difficult to track down. My kids are now computer literate and I would live in fear of them finding any such shots.
How do you guys overcome this. I would love to show you more of me.

Thanks

Naughtywife :)

excellent suggestion Beth...

delete your history... OR.. delete the pics after you've posted them. Or if you want to save them, move them to a floppy or cd, then delete from your computer. But you still need to delete your history to keep them from finding Lit.

As has been mentioned by others here the steps to take care of your concerns are to :
1. After you have posted your resized pictures go back and delete the original picture and the resized versions. Or you can password protect access to the folder they are in.

2 You may also want to go back and open several "safe" pictures in your graphics program to insure that the file name is off the recently opened file list. That way your kids won't see "Tits and pussy pic" as a file name in that list.

3 Then delete your internet history. Thic can be done several ways mainly using history and delete under the view menu.

4. Another option would be to install a second browser program such as FireFox or Netscape on your computer and hid the icon in a password protected folder. That way you can browse using that program and can post using it and the history and bookmakrs will not be visable in your other web browsing program.

5. If you have Norton Securities Suite or similar program you can do a "Clean Sweep" that will pretty much erase all internet evedence including temporary files.

6. Another person has suggested a second computer for the kids that might not be a bad idea. Could probably get a cheap one or even a used computer that you could set up for them to use. And you could install Net Nanny and other safety programs to keep the kids off the adult sites.

I appreciate your concern for your kids and hope this helps!!!!

Create user accounts and assign passwords on your computer. You can do this through the control panel.

Once you do that, set the permissions on directories you don't want your children or anyone else to have access to so the only time they can be seen is when you're logged on. That should keep prying eyes out unless they learn your password, which you can alway change.

Save any emails you don't want them to see as files in the same type of directory. That way you won't have to buy a new box.

How about an external hard drive to keep your pics! When your don't with your pics remove the HD and clear the cookies! I agree, Mozilla Firefox make it real easy to hide your tracks!

There is one more way, and a cheeper way to keep your kids from your computer.

You can install what they call a "Mobile rack" in your computer. that is excaly a drawer for a harddrive that you put in your computer.
http://www.vipower.com/mobilerack.htm

then you can have 2 drawer of hard drives but only one slut for it on your computer, this will make it able for you to have (so we put it simple) 2 computers with only using one hardwear. the windows and all that stuff will be on that harddrive, so when you are done using the computer, you just turn it off, take out the drower with your windows, and internet history, pix and everything els you dont want your kids to see. then you put in the drower with the kids harddrive. (you can even password protect windows so if you kids get in to your harddrive they cant open windows)

So like i said almost like having 2 computers for the price of little more then one.

Plus then the kids dont start to wonder as they get older why mom has a lockt file on a computer that they cant see. im also told that thoes lock files are not very hard to crack if you spend 1 our 2 hours online reading about it (i dont know if thats true or not), dont underestimat kids curiosity i remeber how much time i spent as a kid trying to get in to the only lockt space that mom had in the house...just to see what was there. It should be more simple to tell the kids that you wana have your own computer becous you are afraid they get a virus in yours and you lose stuff, and also the fact that games are not really the most healty thing you can put in a computer.

Any way that is what i whould do if i had kids, no matter if i was trying to hide something or not

Wow
