Question for the Sandman

I was going to interrupt a perfectly good thread, but I changed my mind.

This has been making me seriously curious for a while.

What do you remain......?

Killer...you never cease to amaze me.

So far....you are the ONLY one who has ever asked me why I use that particular Moniker when I sign off.

And yes...there is a reason behind it. Several years ago I became friends with a woman via a chatroom. We talked, we discussed, and through that I came to learn that she was dying. Her only enjoyment came in dreams from what she told me. I learned she had a poor quality of life, and that there was no real sex of any sort involved, and so...she enjoyed what she read, or what was often discussed. Over time I began making up little stories for her and would email them to her.

As time went on, one day she asked me to always be in her dreams for her, not as someone she loved, nothing like that...not her dream man or anything. Just someone that made her dreams pleasant and enjoyable.

I told her I would always remain...her sandman.

She died soon after I wrote her that. And so...its in her memory more than anything else that I use that phrase.

So........that being said.

I remain.......Thesandman

She was a very sweet lady, and I very much admired (and miss our conversations).

I have in fact used her name in several of my stories, though I won't reveal it here.

Anyway.....nuff said.

That was certainly a nice thing to say!

Not sure about the following part.....I have a few good literotica friends who enjoy reading my stories. And that in and of itself gives me a great deal of pleasure. Truth be told.....I think I write more for the few who do follow me, than writing for the many and hoping to get a bunch of votes out of it.

When I get feedback (good AND bad), it helps me to improve my writing, or at least as some write asking me to write stories for them....(Which I love doing BTW).......I get more pleasure in that, knowing that I've written something that means something to the person I wrote it for. And that's more of a one on one thing...which I get more satisfaction from. <wink>

As to being a modern kind of guy? Not sure about that...some say at my age I'm set in my ways. But like a fine wine that has aged.....I tend to believe my outlook on life sets me apart from the norm. I admire, appreciate.......and most importantly, respect ALL women. Lets face it....women are (or can be) very sensual creatures, and I hate to say it....but a vast majority of men that I know don't see them in that way. Sure......there's a few bad apples...but damn, look at most guys too!

As for a harem? lol.......Yeah, I'd get off on being surounded by a bunch of naked women... But........I'd probably be the one trying to do whatever I could to please them too!

they would be partially clad in those silk pants (the c-thru kind), and be wearing those short vests that barely close in the front. their words would of course be "your wish, master, is my command."

Back to reality! About the writing, you remind me of another male online author I met. He does his stories pretty much the same way- making them more intimate that way. As a woman, I avoid that trap all together. In fact, at the moment, I am a little worried about a couple of emails I received recently. The author has now written two very very long erotic emails, about himself and me. I replied that I thought he should post them as stories. If he writes one more, I think I'll have to tell him my fiance enjoyed reading them.
