do you get ghost pm's?

i got a pm from someone.. i responded to her, then a few minutes later i got that little pop up window saying i had a pm. I opened it in a seperate window, and there was nothing there..

I hit refresh.. and still nothing was there

I went in thru the control panel link and nothing..

Sometimes if I re enter from the Lit Discussion Board, it puts things into synch.

BTW, Freakygurl, even though we have never posted together or pm'ed. I think you are really great!

yeah, i get a pop up window that says something to the effect "you have a private message" you click ok and it says something like "would you like to open it in a seperate window" click yes, and there it is..

Goddamnit! That just happened to me and Ididn't press the back browser!!! I hate disappointment.... someone PM me just to make up for the ghost PM.

when you go to the homepage and click on bulitin boards, the window it brings you to, at the very bottome it says your anme and privet messege next to it. does it say you have a certin number of msg's there.

I'm guessing if you have 100 they are past msg's, and the reason it says you are getting a PM and it don't open is casue someone tryed to send you one but it could not go through casue your box is full (no pun intended)

go into your controle pannel and look at your PM's the defult is 10 days click that and go to "the begining" you may have some there. if not... look to the right there is another pull down that says Inbox, pull that down and go to sent Items. Mabey you havne't deleted the ones you have been sending to people. this too takes up space in your PM box.

i didn't know if the deleted pm's had any effect on the full box thing or not..

i delete a pm as soon as i either read it or respond to it.

Then once a day (usually before i log off) i delete my deleted ones.. make sure everything is all gone..

I don't really get many pm's.. So it's never really full..
