I'm not sure where to post this question, and haven't gotten responses through private messages (that I know of), so I thought I'd post here and see if this has happened to anyone else.
I am writing some stories in a humorous series called The Bra Salesman, and I have gotten a lot of weird comments. By a lot, I mean approximately 4 dozen and counting. The comments are random, incoherent, and have nothing to do with anything about the story. It is just gibberish. Of course, I can go in and delete the comments, but I stopped myself before I did. I wanted to know if deleting comments would have any other effects I might not be aware of, such as affecting scores, making stories ineligible for certain lists, etc. And if so, maybe that's why someone was giving me so many weird comments.
These two stories in particular have the lion's share of bizarre comments:

And here are two sample comments (I picked two fairly short ones, others can be quite lengthy)
---------------
Maybe there's all this stuff written on this--
I don't know. Just--if you can't say you ARE another race, gender, etc., you CAN say, "I am NOT--
I am not "white"--how do I know? (I'll get out of this jail.)
I am not--
I am not--
Just that even if you can't say you ARE something/someone else, you CAN say you are NOT something or someone--
It's better than nothing--maybe a lot better
(This is what comes of listening to J. Cash's prison songs.)
------------------
------------------
I wouldn't want anyone to die
and that I did this (in "writing")--and really think they felt I "meant" this. That it wasn't symbolic.
That I didn't think--sort of joy, freedom--
"Naming things is empowering." Cocteau Twins
But I feel manipulated. And I will NOT stand for it.
(And how did it happen?)
