I'm working on an erotic romance in which our heroine will eventually meet, fall in love with, and have crazy sex with a secret admirer who keeps the suspense going. (Surprised?)
My question is how sexually promiscuous would you want her to be along the way? I have several sex scenes that do not directly involve her and a few voyeuristic scenes but am not sure how to involve her directly. I want the reader to want them to be together but I don't want her to be seen as a slut all the way up until she meets Romeo, know what I mean?
Is graphically describing her fantasies hot? Are reliving past scenes in her mind a turn on? For me, I usually am more interested in the here and now than hearing about what happened ten years ago.
