Okay, this MAY belong in the Editing/author-parts of the forums, but this is where I hang out and feel comfortable, so.... yeah.

I have an unfinished story that I'm writing, Mistress/slave, very kinky, non-con in some ways, and I'd really like some feedback and editing help. However, I was reading over the Lit rules for contacting Lit-editors, and you cannot use Lit-editors for non-Lit stories, and I'm not sure if I'll want to submit this story.

Does anyone know of somewhere else online where I can get feedback for this kind of story? I'm not looking for a serious editor like I'd look for if I was looking to be published, just the kind Lit offers, but for non-Lit stories. Anyone have any suggestions?

So would I. To tell the truth a lot of us would probably be willing. I've had problems with having my kinky stories edited by non-kinksters.

if you need a fourth opinion i can help as well. i didnt use an editor from lit for my story either, i got friends to do it.

Nobody edited my stories, I proof read them myself.

I'd love a kinky editing thread though - that would be really cool.

My ex graduated from college with a 4.0 GPA and her BS in education. She's one smart cookie.

But I edited every single paper she turned in.

I'm good at it when I have the time...

It would be really cool to have a you do mine I will do yours kind of friend... editing... I am talking about editing. I proofread the hell out of my stuff, clear up to reading it out loud but I still miss stuff.

I think that having the story in my head makes me have a blind spot to simple grammar.

If anyone ever wants a fresh pair of eyes don't hesitate to send me a PM.

That's my problem. I edit other people's stuff just fine, but I miss stuff on mine.

Wheeeee! I think it'd be awesome to have someone I actually know/trust (ie you guys!) help me with this!

I probably should've specified in the OP, by "editing" I don't mean just grammar and that stuff.... my story is roughly 25k right now, but it's very short compared to what I'm hoping it will be by the time I'm done with it. I love writing but, when faced with editing and expanding my own work, tend to overlook things. I need help with ideas on how to expand each scene, in general make it better and more readable, instead of just tons of action/dialogue clumped together like it is now.

Maybe someone could even help me break it up into chapters! I never do that, and I know I should, I just am not good at figuring out good places for chapter-cuts.

My computer is on the fritz tonight, but if any of you are still interested, I'll try to PM you tomorrow! Thanks!
