I know many people like long hair on a woman. How many adore the little pixies with short hair? What's the advantage? Just wondering.

all depends on the face...you just cant force the wrong hair just cause it looks good on someone else...we can tell

...from what ive seen most anything would work for you....cept the sinead oconner look :)

Trust me, I look terrible with short hair. But thank you.

I have this friend from highschool, she has the really short hair and it looks fab on her. She's tried the longer look and it doesn't cut it.

It depends on facial structure and body type.

I wouldn't say all women look good in long hair, and just cause someone happens to like it, doesn't mean everyone should have it.

I feel really badly for everyone who picked out their own hair do thoughout the eighties then.
somehow it seemed really cool back then...along with the spandex and leg warmers

Few can pull off a cool pixie cut. But those that can- rowr!

I have done both. I like long because I can pull it back into a ponytail any time I want. I like short because I can deal with it quickly after a shampoo. Right now I am short as I decided to undye. It will be easier and quicker without the length.

Short is much easier under my motorcycle helmet.

I wish I could have one of those short hair styles, but alas my face in my opinion is to round and I don't think I would look very good with a pixie kind of hair style.

A friend of mine has her hair very short and it looks very cute on her, it frames her face very well ... like many said ... I think it all depends on your facial structure and see how it will frame your face.

:)

I love the pixie look. Only, bad thing is I can’t pull it off. Though I do admire those who can.

The advantage is it's less maintenance-intensive. Of course, it doesn't drag as nicely across a lover's skin, either, so there's two sides (or more) to everything.

Hmmm I've always wanted to cut mine off, but not sure I can pull it off. *sigh* guess I could take a chance, but what if it sucks? Then I'm screwed...guess I'll just stick with what I've got.

Hey, by the way, has anyone noticed that almost all old women (60+) have short, short, boyish haircuts? Have you ever wondered why? Or am I just weird?

I have had both lengths. I had very short hair for around eight years, and have had longer hair for the past two years. I like them both, but the cost of keeping short hair styled and cut is much more than longer hair which doesnt require as many cuts. When my hair was short, it would have to be cut every three weeks.

So, the style is great, but the upkeep and maintenance is a pain in the ass.

I think on some women it is a phenomenal style. Me? I could never go that short. I cut off a lot the other day but it isn't that short and the advantage? It is easier to style, dry and so many fun things I can do with it...because it isn't too short. I can still pull it up in a twist which I love to do...but it is short enough to look fun and flirty! :D
