I am sorry if it's posted somewhere but I wasn't able to find an answer to my question. Is there a way to know who voted on a story, like a record? Also, is there a place I can find the compilation of the votes, not just the average and the number of votes? Thank you!

I'm afraid not, sxy.

At least that I know of.

Well, he's right and wrong at the same time - trust a Canadian! :rose:

The whole point about voting here is anonymity - if not who would dare drop below 5?

The public and private comments are wonderful to give a general impression of how your story has been received.

Other than that, you have to make a judgement between the scores you've got, number of votes and public reaction. Oh, and of course, this l;ittle haven for sensitive egos. :catroar:

Oh ok. I guess I'm a sucker for exact numbers I just wanted to know exactly how I came up with the average I came up with :p No biggie though. Thanks :)

If you're a real stickler about watching the voting on your stories, you can figure out what each vote is if you catch them as they come in.

For instance: let's say your story has 20 votes, and is sitting at 4.65. You receive the 21st vote, and your score goes to 4.57. The way you can tell what that 21st vote was is this:

20 votes multiplied by 4.65 = 93.00
21 votes multiplied by 4.57 = 96.00

so your 21st vote was a three.

The only way it works is if you keep super close watch on your scores, and in the first day or so, sometimes they come so fast it's hard to keep up with them, but when the score settles somewhat, and you get a vote just every once in awhile, it's easy to tell what that vote was.

What can be interesting is watching votes disappear. There's stuff that does its best to catch trolling and multiple votes, removing those.

On the 15th, my latest had 47 votes, averaging 2.53 (I'd supplied a description that encouraged folk who wouldn't like the story to read it - my fault).

On the 19th it had 46 votes averaging 2.54

By the 22nd it had 44 votes and the average had risen to 2.55

Like Cloudy said, it is possible to do the sums: the first vote to get removed was a 2, and the other two were either a 2 and a 3, or a 1 and a 4 - totals of 119, 117 and 112 (you'll probably have to round the answer to a whole number, since 2 decimal places probaly isn't enough to be exact).
