Recently, (8/7) I posted a "how to" piece on the story side of Lit. I've been amazed at how many views it has accumulated in 6 days, esp. compared to some fiction stories I've posted several months ago.

Has this been the case for others; that the how to pieces are more popular than the fiction pieces? Or, am I just dismal at fiction?

I also posted a few days ago a fiction piece about "BDSM" (a subject I'm not familiar with) and it is already out pacing the "erotic couplings" stories.

LOL..........go figure.

How tos always get tons of votes and feedback. It makes you wonder about our readership: Everyone's into incest, BDSM and learning how to do things.

Hmm.

Very true. But Humor and Sci-Fi suck :(

I also think that people don't quite get the point of "non erotic"

I've gotten complaints about the lack of sex in the story...even though I've also noted "NON EROTIC" in the title.

Sigh

Dear DN,
Very true. I got one letter of outrage from a reader about the lack of sex in "At the Zoo." You can have sex in a story, and you can have a hippo BM in a story. It's hard to imagine, though, having a story with both. Unless you're Dr M, of course.

Unfortunately my hippo BM/ sex piece will appear in the "How to" category, so it's not really a story.
