Question about submitting a story

Hi everybody,

I'm new to writing stories here, though I've been reading stories for several years now on this site.

Today my first story got approved (yay!) however it seems like whoever approved it wasn't really aware of what the story is about and instead of putting it under scifi/fantasy as I intended it was moved to celebrities for some reason.

My questions now are, can I still add story tags after it's already published and can I change the catagory it's posted under?

It's about this story btw; Diary of a Dabo girl

Best regards,

J. Storm

Ps, this was originally posted here, but I was friendly directed to this forum. ;)

You set it in the established universe of Star Trek, so it automatically goes to celebrity -- that's a category trump card. It's very rare that any fanfic ( not meant to offend -- just the terminology ) will go in another category, and it requires special permission from Laurel + adding the entire celebrity section disclaimer to the text of the story.

Ahhh! thanks! :D

That clears up my confusion. ^_^

I'll also edit my previous post to remove the links to my story since I had some negative comments on that in the previous thread. I didn't intend it to come across as shameless self promotion.

Just add a link to your stories in your signature. Really, the link was necessary to determine why the story was moved, so whoever was bitching was a bit out of line.

EDIT: Ah... you posted it to the General Board. That explains it. There are any number of people down there who have nothing better to do than piss on everything that anybody posts. Don't even bat an eyelash at it.

Wow. Learn something new every day. I always just assumed that the Celebs category was for stories about threesomes with Brad & Ange (and the like). But fanfics, too? :nana: I might have a bit of a poke around in there...
